AEF ACADEMY vs HARDWOOD ELITE
AEF Academy-1 enjoyed a solid all-around performance in defeating Hardwood Elite 79-53. AEF has a talented wing in 6’3 Brenden Reeves, who can hit 3-pointers, create off the dribble and drop dimes. Jordan Herrera is a 6’4 forward who owned the Corner 3 while Lincoln Schwarz is a rugged forward who attacked the boards very well.
Hardwood Elite got a great shooting performance from 6’0 guard Derek Jeffries who made six 3-pointers. Guard Brian Lee is a junkyard dog type of player with a big motor which enabled him to play bigger than his actual 6’0 height. I was also impressed with 6’5 forward Mason Carroll Mason Carroll 6'6" | SF Timberland | 2025 State MO , who has length and a high motor inside. He can also stretch the defense with his shooting

KANSAS SELECT vs OKLAHOMA SHOWTIME
Our second game was a one-sided affair as Kansas Select cruised to a 70-43 victory. I was impressed with 6’4 forward Charles Sharp of Kansas Select. His fundamentals were good as he can score inside. pass the ball and hit the 3-pointer. Guard Alec Grill is a slick passer who can hit the 3-pointer. Forward Jackson Bergkamp is a tough lefty who can score in the lane.
The one bright spot for Oklahoma Showrime was 6’0 guard Kaden Miller who was fearless on the drive with a nice baseline jumper.

PGU HOOPS VS GABL FUTURE 16U
It was GABL Future 16U taking control of the game from the start as the coasted to a 65-45 victory. Guard Nick Waters displayed some tremendous shooting range, but he can also create off the dribble and find open teammates with his pinpoint passing. Brayden Klahn is an energetic wing player who was driving to the basket well and attacking the offensive boards. PGU Hoops has a very good point guard in Kaizer Kanitz, who has solid handles and a nice feel for the game. He displayed a little wiggle to free himself from defenders and get to his spot for the pull up jumper.

PROLIFIC ELITE-2 vs MID-MO ELITE
In the most competitive game that I watched on Saturday, Prolific Elite-2 defeated Mid Mo Elite 54-49. The lead changed hands throughout the game, but Prolific took home the win with a late spurt down the stretch. They have a small team with a bunch of hard working guards that never stop moving. Guard Gavin Dale is the team’s top bucket-getter as he attacked the basket and pulled up for his step-back mid-range jumper. Guards Mason Marshall was all over the place with his speed and quickness while 6’1″ forward Lule Negede was also a high-effort player as he battled on the boards and played well in the passing lanes.
Mid-Mo Elite featured a pair of young players who are high school teammates at Osage in 6’4″ forward Andrew Groos Andrew Groos 6'4" | PF Osage | 2025 State MO and 6’2″ guard Dayne Depee Dayne Depee 6'3" | SG Osage | 2025 State MO ‘. Groos displayed excellent hands catching the ball in traffic and he could elevate over defenders to score in the paint. Depee’ is a craft lefty who was getting into the lane for buckets in the first half. In the second half, he unleashed a nice shooting stroke from the perimeter with a trio of 3-pointers.

MISSOURI 66ERS vs 785 ATHLETICS
The Missouri 66ers have a talented team from the SWMO area and they scored a solid victory over 785 Athletics. They have strong offensive weapons on the perimeter with 3-point shooters Trent Yates and Carter Keeling Carter Keeling 6'3" | SG Purdy | 2025 State MO . Markeen Webb is an electric point guard with break down quickness and the ability to score on penetrating drives and pull up jumpers. In the paint is emerging 6’8″ Eli Stokes Eli Stokes 6'8" | PF Cassville | 2025 State MO , who controlled the offensive boards and displayed a nice shooting touch in the paint.
The top performer for 785 Athletics was guard Jai’Marion Cook, a 5’10” guard who is quick and shifty and plays at his own pace. He never let himself get sped up and he could score on the floater or the pull up jumper from 3-point range.
