We dive into the positional rankings. We now look at the small forwards for the freshman class.
Here are the top-10 SF’s in the 2026 class: (Easily the top group with all 10 in the top-21)
Elijah Williams Elijah Williams 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2026 State MI Scottsdale Christian Academy
One of the most talented players in the freshman class. He has real length, good size for position already and next level athleticism. He is a good defender from inside and out and will block shots and rebound. He can shoot the three plus score it around the rim.
Cameron Williams Cameron Williams 6'10" | PF St. Mary's | 2026 State AZ Centennial
One of the longest and tallest players in the class. He is a fluid mover who transferred over in the middle of the year and had to sit the second part of the year. He will be ready to go the start of next season and should help them out immediately on both sides of the court. He will rebound, score inside and shoot.
Matt Delgado Matt Delgado 6'5" | SG Boulder Creek | 2026 State AZ Boulder Creek
An all-around wing forward can shoot the three, defend in space and in the paint, make plays for his teammates and will rip thru and score layups or can flush it down above the rim. His defense and skill have improved this season.
Brayden Barrett Brayden Barrett 6'4" | SF Millennium | 2026 State AZ Millennium
One of the top shooters on the list and in the class. He has deep range, a quick trigger and strength. He rebounds well in his area, he can drive the lane but his skill is definitely his shooting. He will catch and shoot from the three point line and is putting the ball on the deck more and more.
JD Jones JD Jones 6'4" | SF Phoenix Country Day | 2026 State AZ Phoenix Country Day (Pictured)
A physical wing forward just so happens to be the son of NBA player James Jones. His physical approach to the game, versatile defense, strength and court vision. He plays the game unselfishly like a point forward and will rebound at a high level in and out of his area.
Colton Watson Colton Watson 6'5" | SF Sandra Day O’Connor | 2026 State AZ Sandra Day O’Connor
Another versatile wing is very fluid and athletic. He rips thru better than most and will crash the glass with a very good motor. His ability to defend inside and out helped him get on the court early on varsity already. He scores it effectively around the rim and recently had a monster double-double with points and rebounds.
AJ Harris AJ Harris 6'5" | SF Canyon View | 2026 State AZ Canyon View
A hybrid combo forward is slowly transitioning to the wing spot. He is athletic to throw it down, he can hit the three and will rip thru and score it around the post players. He still rebounds well and can defend inside and on the perimeter.
Kareem Alkhalifa Kareem Alkhalifa 6'4" | SF Pinnacle | 2026 State AZ Pinnacle
A point forward type can play and defend multiple positions. He has long arms, good instincts to defend and a big IQ. He makes plays for others easily and sees the court like a guard. He will score from elbow and in and can step out and hit the three.
Malakhai Moore-Neal Malakhai Moore-Neal 6'3" | SF Phoenix Christian | 2026 State AZ Phoenix Christian
A wildly athletic wing flies in the open court. He is easily one of the best athletes in the class and is an incredible runner up the court. He passes the ball well and gets downhill well. He has floaters and good body control to score in the air on difficult attempts.
Jacob Webber Jacob Webber 6'5" | SF Scottsdale Christian Academy Transferring To Kearney/NE | 2026 NE Scottsdale Christian Academy
One of the top pure shooters in the class regardless of position. He has a picture perfect stroke and will rattle off shots from mid to the three point line mostly off the catch one by one. He can create a little with one or two dribble pull-ups but is best just catching and releasing currently.
