Here’s a quick look at who was added:
Kaleb Burnett Kaleb Burnett 6'3" | SF Junction City | 2023 State OR | SF | Junction City – #65
The 4A player of the year helped lead Junction City to the state tournament in their last appearance for legendary head coach Roethenberger. Burnett is a versatile and athletic forward that can do damage both inside and out and has drawn the interest of NWAC schools.
KuVarie Davis KuVarie Davis 5'10" | PG Parkrose | 2023 State OR | PG | Parkrose – #68
5A’s leader in assist per game at 6.0, Davis is a pure point guard who blew by defenders all season long off the dribble and found Parkrose’s perimeter shooters open for threes. A hard-nosed defender, he was one of the top guys in the state in steals as well. He has been getting NWAC interest.
Cole Beardsley Cole Beardsley 6'2" | CG Philomath | 2023 State OR | CG | Philomath – #76
Beardsley earned First Team 4A All-State honors after leading Philomath to the #1 rankings and the state tournament finals. He’s a hard-nosed guard with good size that competes on both ends of the floor. He’s been in deep discussions with OIT about a spot next season.
Tanner Jones Tanner Jones 5'10" | PG Redmond | 2023 State OR | PG | Redmond – #78
Jones manned the point for a talented Redmond team that made a 5A state tournament run, and picked up the pace when star center Evan Otten Evan Otten 6'10" | C Redmond | 2023 State OR was out due to injury. He ended up finishing the year as one of 5A’s leading assist men at over 4.7 dimes dished per game.
Drew Satterhwaite Drew Satterhwaite 6'4" | PF David Douglas | 2023 State OR | PF | David Douglas – #85
Satterthwaite came up big his senior season, anchoring the paint for a David Douglas team that was rebuilding in some sense but still made the playoffs after getting off to a fast start in the pre-league schedule. He’s a solid high school post with good footwork and a soft touch around the hoop.
Dylan Geske Dylan Geske 6'7" | PF Milwaukie | 2023 State OR | PF | Milwaukie – #97
Milwaukie was guard-oriented this year with Logan Law Logan Law 5'9" | PG Milwaukie | 2023 State OR and Kaden Harris Kaden Harris 6'2" | CG Milwaukie | 2023 State OR , but Geske proved to be a solid third option in the post. He has good size at 6-foot-7 and a nice touch on his face-up jumper, which stretches out to just inside the three-point line.
Christopher Doke Christopher Doke 6'0" | PG Bend | 2023 State OR | PG | Bend – #103
Bend had a solid run into the post-season in the ultra-competitive Intermountain Conference, and Doke was a key part of that success. The senior guard was steady at the point, looked to make plays for others, and hit open shots.
Ben Kitzhaber Ben Kitzhaber 6'4" | PF North Eugene | 2023 State OR | PF | North Eugene – #112
Kitzhaber anchored the middle for a North Eugene team that surprised many by capturing the Midwestern League title. He played his role well despite being a bit undersized and was a factor with his rebounding (6.7 rpg) and interior defense (1.4 bpg).
Nate Greenburg Nate Greenburg 6'0" | CG Hidden Valley | 2023 State OR | CG | Hidden Valley – #113
We honestly didn’t get the opportunity to watch Greenburg in action this season, who had a good senior year leading Hidden Valley to the post-season. He’s signed with NAIA Simpson University in California, which warrants him being added to the list for sure.
Evan Good Evan Good 6'0" | PF Silverton | 2023 State OR | PF | Silverton – #148
Obviously undersized in the paint at 6-foot, Good was still amazingly effective for Silverton with his smarts, craftiness, and toughness.
