NJ Scholars
The Scholars were a few bounces away from being 3-1 instead of 1-3. Shareef Jackson Shareef Jackson 6'9" | C Roman Catholic | 2025 State #249 Nation PA starred in his role, contributing 14.8 points, highlighted by going 5 for 10 from three, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. Emmanuel Joe-Samuel Emmanuel Joe-Samuel 6'4" | SG Camden | 2025 State #308 Nation NJ and Jaron McKie Jaron McKie 6'2" | SG St. Joseph's Prep | 2025 State #74 Nation PA led them on the wing. EJS averaged a team-high 15.0 points, while Mckie had 14.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists, shooting 44.4% (12-27) on threes. As they try to bounce back, two players standout as potential options from Session 1: Luke Bevilacqua Luke Bevilacqua 6'10" | C George School | 2025 State #68 Nation PA and Jayden Myers. Bevilacua put up 6.5 points and 5.3 rebounds. And in only 16.8 minutes per, Myers contributed an efficient 8.8 points and 2.3 assists.
Team Final (Red)
The Philly-based team had a rough weekend, going 1-3. So who will step up in Session 2? Milan Dean Milan Dean 6'3" | SF Archbishop Wood | 2025 State #286 Nation PA paced them with 11.8 points but there are a few other possibles. Rob Fields Rob Fields 6'7" | PF McDonogh | 2025 State MD ‘s usage was night and day from games 1 & 2 to 3 & 4. He had a combined 23 points in the former, then 25 in games 3 versus All Ohio, when he amassed 21 points, 7-of-10 free throws, and 4 steals. Jake West Jake West 6'1" | PG William Penn Charter | 2025 State #193 Nation PA steadily got better from game 1 to 4, adding 10 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals against Howard Pulley. Isaac Cole Isaac Cole 6'7" | SF West Catholic | 2025 State PA was his best statistically in that game too, going for 18 points 2-of-4 made threes, 4-of-5 from the line, a steal, and 2 blocks. As a team, expect them to shoot better from three as well.
The Phelps Boys Excelled
Will Riley Will Riley 6'7" | SF Phelps School | 2025 State #29 Nation PA and Onyx Nnani Onyx Nnani 6'8" | PF Phelps School | 2025 State PA are also teammates on UPlay Canada. While Flagg and Boozer have command of the top two spots in the 2025 class, Riley made his case to be considered along with them in his top 5 performance in Session 1. He averaged 23.5 points, 45.5% on threes, 94.4% on free throws, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. Nnani had a much lower usage and was more of a rotation player, but still had 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds with solid defense as UPlay went 3-1. City Rocks (NY) struggled (0-4), but Gavin Doty Gavin Doty 6'4" | SF Phelps School | 2025 State PA was a bright spot. He had 12.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. Lance Piper only played about 10 minutes per game for New Heights Lightning but he shot 38.5% from three (5-13).
Alier Maluk Alier Maluk 7'0" | PF Long Island Lutheran | 2025 State #62 Nation NY of Team Durant (MD) didn’t shoot the best overall but still managed to get 11.8 points and 8.5 boards as his team went 1-3.
