This event was presented by three NorCal Club teams looking to fine tune their teams for the Spring Live Period. Lakeshow, NorCal Elite and NBBA. The 17U Platinum had a good amount of NorCal Prospects who stood out. He’s our top 2024’s.
Cayden Ward Cayden Ward 6'5" | SF St. Mary's Stockton | 2024 State CA-N 6’4 G/W/F, St. Mary’s Stockton, Lakeshow 17’s Elite, Adidas Gold
Ward is a big time athlete who’ll play at the next level. He likes basketball, but gets it done on the football field as well. He has offers in both sports. He can play positions 1-4. He’s long, wiry, and stronger than he looks. He scores inside with length, determination. He has guard like handles to run the top, he’ll beat you off the dribble along the perimeter, and in transition. He has a quick jump to secure rebounds. He can defend multiple positions.
Finley Keeffe Finley Keeffe 6'5" | SF The Branson | 2024 State CA-N 6’5 G/W/F, The Branson, NBBA 17U UA Rise
Keeffe has a versatile skill set, on this team he’ll get the opportunity to handle the ball a lot up top and in transition, to show off his vision and passing skills. He’s effective from the high and mid-post areas hitting the jumper, and getting closer to the rim, he has a good touch around the rim. He’s long and getting stronger to rebound and defend multiple positions at this level.
Julian Gospich Julian Gospich 6'7" | PF Bellarmine | 2024 State CA-N 6’7 F, Bellarmine College Prep, CPBC
Gospich is a sleeper, he hasn’t gotten the attention he deserves, thats about to change if he performs like he did on Saturday. Standing 6’7 he still has an inch or two to add. He’s a fundamentally sound forward with a good understanding of the game. He plays a good game in the post area. His passing and foot work are noticeable, while he’s steadily improving his shot behind the arc. He’ll rebound, and work on the defensive side.
Arshawn Salkhi Arshawn Salkhi 6'2" | CG De La Salle | 2024 State CA-N 6’3 CG, De La Salle, Infinte
He’s a prospects that shows us more each time we see him. He’s an excellent facilitator in the half-court. He has vision, solid passing, and makes good decisions. He shields the ball well with his body, getting into the paint, and for short jumpers. He has the ability to knock down 3’s spotting up along the perimeter.
Jacob Gilchrist Jacob Gilchrist 6'6" | SF Twelve Bridges | 2024 State CA-N 6’7 W/F, Twelve Bridges, YBA Select 17
He’s a top prospect in this class we just don’t see him until the spring and summer. He’s a multi skilled prospect, long and has the ability to put points on the board. He works along the perimeter taking it strong into the paint, or putting up short jumpers for buckets. He’s handling more in the open court with good passing. He’s improved his shot making from behind the arc, and can get a bucket inside.
