For this list, we will look at players who will look to improve and dominate for their teams next year. Here are my breakout predictions for the 2025 class part II.
Spencer has a smooth high arcing shot to his game. He can shoot over most defenders standing at a tall 6’2″ giving him the advantage almost every game. Spencer has a strong upper body that he uses to get into the heart of the lane. He even uses that strength to play elite defense putting a body onto ball handlers. He is excellent in transition whenever he gets a steal making smart basketball plays. I see no reason why Spencer won’t have a breakout season next year.
Ebeling is an offensive threat on every part of the court. He has a sweet stroke from the three-point line with an extended range. He is sneaky athletic as he can get up for the two-handed throw-down if you give him the open lane. Ebeling rebounds well at the shooting guard position and turns turnovers into easy transition points with his ability to finish strong at the rim in those situations.
Highlights
Trotsko is your modern-day stretch four at the power forward position that every coach in this modern era of basketball is looking for. He is versatile as he can guard every position at a high level. He moves his feet well on the perimeter and can challenge bigger players in the paint if they dare to test him. Trotsko can score inside whenever he wants to and is excellent off catch and shoot situations. I feel fully confident that Trotsko will have a big season next year with more opportunities.
Ekhelar is an elite rim protector as he can swat any shot for anyone looking to challenge him in the paint. At the center position, Ekhelar is great at boxing out and rebounding because of his tall build and long arms to tower over everyone else. He has a soft touch around the rim to get easy points. Ekhelar plays mostly inside but if he develops a three-point shot it will be very difficult to guard him.
Pearson is an all-around combo guard. He has great vision and makes smart passes to get his teammates open shots. He can weave in and out in the heart of defenses with his tight handles to set up plays. Pearson also plays under control and can take command of the offense when he needs to. His ability to move without the basketball and to know when to cut to the rim is just more of what makes him a smart basketball player. He’s crafty around the rim and can hit the three if you give him open space. Pearson even had 10 steals in a game this year.
