Who were some players that played well with us in attendance here this weekend from the Palmetto State? #RecruitThePalmettoState
Big Man in Small Town:
Daniel Hutto Daniel Hutto 6'10" | PF Walhalla | 2025 State SC really plays off the grid up in Walhalla in the northwestern part corner of the Palmetto State. Hutto a left-handed slender forward was playing with a Greenville based team called the Hoopzters Black.
Hutto is a finesse forward who can step-out to the short corner or elbow from time to time and knockdown a shot. Daniel does a great job of keeping the ball up high after claiming it off the glass. Hutto is a good passer from the high post and still must get stronger down the road to battle through contact. Daniel has good footwork which comes from playing tennis also when he’s not hooping.
Grand Strand Presence:
Javion Crawford Javion Crawford 6'8" | PF Conway | 2025 State SC and Brayden Hendrix Brayden Hendrix 6'0" | CG Christian Academy Of Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC both played against each other on the opening night. Crawford a post player from Conway HS while Hendrix attends Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach.
Crawford was running with The Private Snipaz here this weekend. Javion has shown flashes at times of some breakouts in the past. He plays in the post and runs the floor well. Crawford could be a rim runner at times down the road with his play.
Hendrix plays the game with some swagger and surely isn’t short when it comes to confidence. Brayden was running with Team Fusion. Hendrix found his way to the rim at times or left a crisp pass to a teammate for a good look.
Foursome Helps Team Win Opener:
Amaziah Austin Amaziah Austin 6'5" | PF Fountain Inn | 2025 State SC , Roman Cooley Roman Cooley 6'4" | SF Greenville | 2025 State SC , Isaiah Henry Isaiah Henry 6'0" | CG Greer | 2025 State SC and Kingston Brown Kingston Brown 5'7" | PG Berea | 2025 State SC all took charge this past weekend for 1 SC Elite 2025 in Rock Hill. The Greenville based squad rolled in its opener behind the strong play of these players.
Austin holds down the middle while clogging the paint up at times. Amaziah has soft hands and a willingness to finish around the cup. He attends Fountain Inn HS after starting off his high school career at J.L. Mann HS.
Cooley was effective all day long with his ability to make plays. Roman a lengthy wing finished drives to the rack when he wasn’t spotting up from short range for a jumper. He really understands good selection and bigger productive while on the hardwood.
Henry will have a new address come this season since he has transferred over to Greer HS recently. Isaiah really likes to play the game as a slasher deluxe. He scored several buckets today out in transition on his way to the rack. Henry excels out in an up-tempo fast style of play.
Brown isn’t flashy from the point guard position, but he really does see the court very well. Kingston a pass first point guard makes his teammates happy with his decisions on the floor. Brown attends Berea HS in the Upstate.
Just Ballers:
Jeremiah Brooks Jeremiah Brooks 6'0" | PG Greenwood | 2025 State SC delivers results when on the floor. Brooks had a solid freshman season this past year at Greenwood HS in the Upstate. Jeremiah will really work knocking down a by pull-up mid-range jumper. He explodes by defenders in the open court to race to the cup. Brooks is truly a 3-level scorer for the County Line Elite. He had no problems getting the ball to the rack on a consistent basis here today.
Cedric Schofield Cedric Schofield 6'7" | PF Keenan | 2025 State SC was running with the Palmetto City Hurricanes. Schofield does his best work around the paint area and delivering results. He will rebound the ball on both ends of the floor and especially outside of his area. Schofield has good length to be disruptive in the passing lanes while picking up some deflections.
