Sawyer Ramey Sawyer Ramey 5'10" | PG Deerfield Academy | 2024 State NLG , 5’10 PG – Class of 2023 Fair Haven Union H.S. / Deerfield Academy Post Grad
The Deerfield commit will run one or two tournaments with this group, and in doing so, will provide a ton of extra juice as a facilitator. Sawyer’s vision and passing are exceptional, seeing opportunities to score at all 3-levels or feed guys with timely dimes that few PG’s see develop. Moreover, he’s a lockdown defender with a knack for anticipating actions and snatching rebounds for coast-to-coast breaks. Sawyer is an all-around gamer and a joy to watch.
Jai White Jai White 6'6" | SF Kimball Union Academy | 2023 State NLG , 6’5 W – Class of 2023 Kimball Union Academy
In what I’ve seen from Jai, what catches my eye first and foremost is his motor. The kid is in every play. He’s a tenacious defender 2-4 on the ball and off. Plus, he’s a hawk for loose balls and a tough rebounder. In transition, Jai uses his speed to get out in front of the pack, and he’s a smart finisher/playmaker around the rim. Off the ball, Jai is that cutter/screener every team needs. He’s never still, instead, he’s setting guys up with hard screens, making smart cuts, and knocking down spot-up jumpers. Jai might only run with GMS for one or two tourneys, so don’t miss out.
Cooper Diego, 6’2 G – Class of 2023 Spaulding High School
When Cooper slides into the 2 guard, it’s dangerous. Diego’s off-ball movement provides him open looks, and he’s knockdown off both the catch and the bounce. Moreover, he can get downhill and make plays in the second layer as a finisher and a passer. Plus, on the defensive end, Cooper’s smarts and length make him quite disruptive as he communicates incoming actions, deflects passes, and prevents entries. A solid rebounder and facilitator too, Diego does it all.
Tavarius Vance, 6’2 G – Class of 2023 Spaulding High School
The swingman is consistently in the flow of the game. Tavarius isn’t one to force anything, rather, he makes the basketball play. Vance moves wisely off the ball as he cuts into space and relocates on the wing for catch-and-shoot 3s. Moreover, when he gets downhill in transition or the halfcourt he rises up strongly to finish at the cup. Capable of guarding 2s and 3s, Vance locks down the perimeter, slides into help, and challenges shots well inside and out. TV is fluid with good hoop IQ.
Riley Severy, 6’6 F – Class of 2023 Spaulding High School
An inside/out forward with the ability to play 3s and 4s, Severy is a force. Offensively, his bag includes knockdown shooting at each level off the catch, slashing, finesse in the post, and the passing/vision to tie everything together. Then on the defensive end, Riley has the agility and footwork to stick with wings and the strength to battle down low to protect the rim and clean the glass. And once in transition, Riley can make plays off the bounce or run lanes for easy buckets. So well-rounded, and with excellent feel.
Isaac Davis, 6’7 F – Class of 2023 Spaulding High School
The big fella holds it down. Isaac is a formidable post defender and rim protector with his size, footwork, and anticipation. Moreover, he plays nice defense in the pnr, able to move his feet outside the lane and stay in front rather well. Davis is a strong rebounder who can run the floor too, beating guys his size down the floor off of pure hustle. And in the offensive halfcourt, he has strong drop steps, baby hooks with both hands, good feel in ball screen situations, and the vision to hit shooters and cutters from all over the post. Davis is rock solid.
Elvin Stowell Elvin Stowell 6'3" | SG Kimball Union Academy | 2023 State NLG , 6’4 W – Class of 2023 Kimball Union Academy
I’ve seen limited action of Elvin, but from what I have seen, the kid can shoot. Stowell is a premier spot-up shooter who’s absolutely water off the catch. And when called upon he can break a defender down, get to his spots, and knock down pull-ups in the mid to short range. With his length and footwork, Stowell defends 2s and 3s and hits the glass at a solid clip. I’m interested to see what role he plays with this crew.
