In this piece we take a more in-depth look at some of the new additions to the 2025 rankings in Southern California.
No. 66 Jackson Cryst Jackson Cryst 6'10" | C Sage Hill | 2025 State CA-S , Millikan
Cryst opened a lot of eyes this season after he averaged 13.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game during his sophomore season. The 6-foot-10 center is a fluid, mobile and coordinated big man – a lot of which is thanks to his background in volleyball – and is a prospect that should be on the radar of Division 1 programs. Cryst is a traditional low-post presence with soft hands and touch around the rim.
No. 67 Joshua Garland Joshua Garland 6'3" | SF Leuzinger | 2025 State CA-S , Leuzinger
Garland’s game is such an oddity for his size but the 6-foot-3 forward is as effective as they come at the high school level. Few players in the class possess a higher passing IQ than Garland who is used most as a pinch-post four man who has the vision to find cutters and open shooters with on-time and on-target passes.
No. 69 Braylon Singleton Braylon Singleton 5'10" | CG Culver City | 2025 State CA-S , Culver City
Singleton is a high motor combo guard thrives as a downhill scorer in transition. The 6-foot sophomore has a good combination of speed, strength and stays on balance through contact in the painted area. In the half-court setting, Singleton is an aggressive and confident attacker of the basket
No. 70 Logan Stewart Logan Stewart 6'5" | SF Pacifica Christian/OC | 2025 State CA-S , Pacifica Christian/OC
Stewart is already a highly-productive varsity player whose skill-set is his ability to contribute to winning basketball. The 6-foot-5 wing/forward isn’t a high volume scorer or flashy isolation player but he does all the dirty work things you look for in a glue-type player. Stewart is a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions, rebounds in and out of his area and his willingness to get out and run the floor in transition opens up slashing and finishing opportunities for him around the rim.
No. 73 Parker Steffen Parker Steffen 6'0" | CG Chaparral | 2025 State CA-S , Chaparral
Steffen is one of the better perimeter shooters that we have in SoCal. The 5-foot-10 combo guard can knock down catch and shoot three-pointers but is best when creating looks for himself off the bounce. Steffen is a crafty ball handler who can change speeds and direction quickly to keep defenders off balance in order to get into his pull-up jumper.
No. 75 Jaden Erami Jaden Erami 6'2" | CG Bosco Tech | 2025 State CA-S , Bosco Tech
There aren’t many players in the class who meant more to their team than Erami did to Bosco Tech. The 6-foot-2 do-it-all guard averaged 19.2 points, eight rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while leading the Tigers to a CIF Southern Section Division 5AA championship. Erami is a crafty inside scorer for his size and knows how to navigate through a half-court defense and score around the rim off of two feet.
