So much has been written on Ja’Micah, and I would be remiss not to mention him in this article as one of the best in the state when it comes to scoring from deep. His ability to score from deep off the bounce is really what warranted his name in this article. A lot of guys knock down the trey ball out of catch-and-shoot situations, but Ja’Micah is absolutely immaculate when it comes to shooting the trey ball off the bounce without any notice that he is going into his shot. He has one of the quickest releases and is in his range when he crosses half-court. Ja’Micah remains the same in the current 2024 rankings, sitting at #5.
Joe Aldridge Joe Aldridge 6'2" | CG Marion County | 2024 State AL (6’2/Combo Guard/2024/Marion County HS)

Joe was perhaps the most productive when it comes to those in the 2024 class and their ability to knock down the trey ball. He is a high-volume three-point shot maker, and his ability to knock down the trey ball helped him average 20-plus points per game. He quickly became the primary scoring option as he brought his talents to Marion County from Haleyville. He is an elusive guard that can score with the best in the state, and he does it at all levels, especially from deep. Joe remains the same in the current 2024 rankings, sitting at #20.
Dy’Qwashon Grubbs Dy’Qwashon Grubbs SG Barbour County | 2024 State AL (6’3/SG/’24/Barbour County)
DQ is an electric off-guard with size that can fill it up from the perimeter. He is capable of going for huge numbers on any given night and was a steady source of point production as he averaged over 20pts per game last season. He is a walking double-digit scorer, and many of those points come from behind the arc. DQ makes his debut in the 2024 rankings at the #41 spot.
Cameron Fields (6’1/CG/’24/Ashford HS)
Cam is a high-volume scorer that can put up some huge numbers, and he can do it in a multiplicity of ways. He averaged 20-plus points per game and showed throughout the season that he could get hot from deep at any moment. He is a tough iso scorer and can really finish in the paint off the bounce. He showed his ability to knock down the trey ball in c&s opportunities as well as when he got into his shot off the bounce. He is a difficult cover and can serve it up from all levels, especially from deep. Cam makes his debut in the 2024 rankings at the #43 spot.
Kobe Small Kobe Small 5'9" | SG Ashford | 2024 State AL (5’9/CG/’24/Ashford HS)
Kobe is a solid player that provided double-digit scoring for Ashford this year. He is one of the scoring options his squad could rely on to bring production from beyond the arc. He was effective and efficient in his opportunities from beyond the arc. He functions as a triple-threat player that can contribute as a shooter, passer, and driver, but he thrives in scoring with the long ball. Kobe makes his debut in the 2024 rankings at the #88 spot.
Camdan Hines Camdan Hines SG Dora | 2024 State AL (5’11/CG/’24/Dora HS)
Camdan is a player that can absolutely get it done from beyond the arc. He is not called on to do a heavy lift when it comes to scoring, but he understands his role and does it well when it comes to being able to knock down the trey-ball. He is extremely comfortable and confident on the perimeter and has game instincts, making him an offensive weapon for the Bulldogs. Even though his numbers for the season may not stand out to stat lookers, his production from beyond the arc was a needed piece for his squad. Cam makes his debut in the 2024 rankings at the #110 spot.
