We will be breaking down the top players by position in their respective classes. Coaches, if we miss a player who deserves to be recognized please send @RossVDG14 a direct message on Twitter.
The 6-4 shooting guard is one of the most consistent threats to shoot from beyond the arc. Baldassarre shot nearly 40 percent from the perimeter this past season at IMG Academy in his first year with the program. He also has a smooth touch on the defensive end where he has the quickness to jump into the passing lanes causing havoc for the opposition. Baldassarre is playing with Born To Impact Elite this spring and summer.
The 6-2 guard will be entering his senior season coming off one of the best shooting displays at the Final Four in Lakeland, where he connected for a game-high 32 points on 8 made 3-pointers against Wekiva. Ritchie is a three-tool basketball player on the offensive end whether it’s his 3-point shooting, mid-range game or finishing around the rim. Mid-major D1 and D2 coaches should keep their eyes on Ritchie as he gears up for his senior season looking to lead Ponte Vedra to the Final Four for a third consecutive year.
The 5-star guard has had a solid start to the Grassroots season playing for Florida Rebels, where he is averaging over 20 points and 7 rebounds per game. Knox is the top ranked player in the state, some would argue he could be the best prospect in the nation for the Class of 2024. Knox was also named the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 3A Player of the Year this past season.
The 6-5 wing is efficient on both ends of the floor where he is aggressive on the offensive end scoring in a variety of ways. Morris uses his size and quickness to his advantage and can finish around the rim with tip-ins or dunks. On the defensive end, Morris can rebound at a high level and his ball-handling skills have gotten better as his high school and Grassroots careers roll on. This past season for Florida State University High, Morris averaged career-highs in points per game (8.9) and rebounds per game (5.6)
The 6-1 guard is a pure-pass first guard who can also impact the game with his scoring as well. Mitchell is a left-handed shooter who can score at all three levels whether it’s around the rim, mid-range or from beyond the arc. This past season for The Master’s Academy, Mitchell averaged 14.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Mitchell holds offers currently from High Point and Presbyterian College but expect more college coaches to be on his radar during the live period.
Highlights
The 6-0 point guard will be running with the Florida Rebels organization this summer once again. He plays with a fearless edge to his game and has great athleticism. This past season for Lake Highland Prep, Clarke averaged 14.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Clarke also has one of the most efficient jump shots in the Central Florida area. Clarke also holds an offer from Kennesaw State.
