Instead of giving you a scouting report on these players I’ll give you the player of these ten; with the brightest future, best shooter, post player, best Rebounder, smooth stroke shooter, slasher, Mr Consistency, pushing it downhill, inside outside, solid .
Brightest Future !!! Jayden transferred over to LUHI this season. If he had been in New York the last couple of years he would have been in the top three all along, Just a complete player. A smooth release out of his hand the ball comes out effortlessly. Explosive to the rim off the bounce. He is a three level scorer. Committed to UConn
Mr Inside Outside!!! Jahmir has blossomed into a really nice player. He should be a nice rotation piece at the next level. He has the ability to score around the rim combining strength and finesse. Can step out and drain the three. All depending where he decides to play he could be a tough matchup for opponents.
Best shooter!!! Ryan can flat out shoot the three. Has unlimited range. Also is very good at getting into the lane and scoring off the pull up. He can get off his own shot or drain the three off the catch.
Post Player!!! First time I saw him he was a little raw but was a real presence in the post. He has developed nicely into a force in the middle. He can score the ball inside. Uses either hand to score. Understands the importance of posting low and wide and holding position.
Best Rebounder!!! I know you’re saying he’s 6”1 how good of a rebounder can he be. I say watch him. He is relentless on either end of the floor. Goes and gets his own shot better than anyone. Has good strength and frame on his 6”1 body. Gains tremendous position to snag the rebound. Reads it, hunts it, gets it. No one on the floor outworks him.
Slasher!!! Loves the idea that his defender wants to stop him. He just uses it to his advantage. Has an athletic body and uses his athleticism to get to the rim and finish through contact. Hard to stop when he gets his dribble down, quick, strong and explosive to the rim.
Pushing it Downhill!!! One of the fastest players on Long Island with the ball in his hands. Stays in control of the ball and his body while still attacking at a high speed. Changes direction and pace really well. Gets to the rim and scores multiple ways.
Mr Consistency!!! Look at the box scores for the season and you will see very consistent numbers 4 field goals 2 threes a couple of assists, rebounds and steals. A Bona-fide stat stuffer. Matt is also a leader on the court. Does a lot of good things on the court.
Solid Performer!!! Aiden can shoot it handle it and get to the rim. Has good length. Nothing flashy to his game just does a lot of things well. Good shooter with the open three especially off of transition or a kick out. Nice form on his jumper with a good release point.
Highlights
Smooth stroke shooter!!! 14 games with 2 or more threes. Can shoot it with a side step or off the catch. Really nice form. Very repeatable fluid motion. Ready to shoot it as he’s coming off the screen. Feet and hands are being set early so he can get off his shot even in a little bit of space.
