Curry was a key cog in the close out victory for Team Forsyth as they flipped the script and won the title in Year 2 of the Triad First48 JV County Clash. He showed off his ability to apply full court pressure and turn defense into easy points in the clutch to lead the defensive charge for his backcourt. He’s a 2025 prospect to get to know out of Walkertown High.
Crews showed off an impressive versatility in the Team Guilford rotation as a prospect that could guard a plethora of positions on the floor. He defended the 1-4 spot and wasn’t afraid to meet opponents at the rim and block shots with his length and athleticism. He’s a name to know in the 2026 class at Northern Guilford High.
Peele was an impressive presence around the rim and paint area as he anchored the Team Davidson defense until the very end. He wasn’t afraid to get his nose dirty to draw charges or battle for rebounds. He also showed he could clean up on the offensive end. He’s a 2026 name to watch out of South Davidson High.
Wood was another top defender in the Team Davidson backcourt that brought the energy for his squad. He showed he could apply full court pressure and turn the momentum with his ability to get downhill and finish in traffic. He lifted his squad to the title game with his on-ball defense, closing out their semi-final contest with a pair of strong steals to seal the deal. He’s a 2025 prospect out of Lexington Senior High to keep eyes on given his ability to turn the tide with his defense.
Taylor was a standout defender in the Team Davie/Yadkin/Wilkes rotation that allowed his defense to lead the way for him. He showed he could defend either guard spot with his ability to protect the rim and keep the ball out of the paint. He got easy offense out of his defending ability. He’s a 2025 name to get to know out of Forbush High.
Gattis showed off his versatility as a defender and then some at the Triad First48 JV County Clash. He showed he wasn’t afraid to defend whoever was in front of him as he used his strong 5-foot-10 frame to defend the 1-5 spot and show he could adjust to any situation. He even showed he could step out and knock down shots on the perimeter as well on the offensive end. He’s a name out of Eastern Alamance High to keep an eye on.
