Continue ReadingSmith started the game off hot by scoring two quick buckets to help Tahlequah jump out to a 9 – 0 lead. He consistently takes advantage of the lack of size that Glenpool had. It seemed like throughout the game he lived in the paint and was able to home there. He does a great job posting up and establishing possession and when one of his guards penetrates he knows how to find the open spot to put himself in a great position to score.

Gilliam was a spark for Glenpool in the first half after Tahlequah made the original run. He started with a mid-range jump shot and then eventually knocked down a three to end the half. In the second half, he had trouble getting it going but you can tell as he continues to get better he can become a key ingredient to Glenpool’s success in the future. Although he didn’t contribute a bunch on the offensive end he repeatedly was able to get steals on the defensive side of the ball and help his team create fast break points.
Jeremiah Kimble | Glenpool Highschool | Class of 2025 | Guard | 5’9” |
Jeremiah Kimble was able to provide Glenpool with a spark off the bench by getting a few layups and even knocking down a few three’s as well. At one point in the game, Glenpool struggled to get the ball across half-court and Kimble came in and was able to aid in making that way easier. He was very productive off the bench in the limited amount of time that he got to play.
Brycen Smith | Tahlequah Highschool | Class of 2024 | Guard | 6’0” |
Smith is a great facilitator and he consistently provided Smith with an opportunity to score the basketball. Every time he got the ball on the fast break he was looking to advance it up the court to allow his team to score the basketball. He has a big strong body that can shield defenders off and he excels when being pressured. It will be interesting to see how good he will be as he goes into the offseason and has time to fine tune his game.
