Evan Eaton Evan Eaton 6'2" | CG Rice Memorial | 2025 State NLG , 6’1 G – Rice Memorial High School Class of 2025
Evan is that spark plug off the bench for Rice, and he can make a splash instantaneously. Eaton has the off-ball IQ and scoring prowess to finish looks all over the floor with his athleticism and smooth stroke. Moreover, he’s a wise ball mover who makes quick reads and simple decisions. Then defensively, he guards 1-3 and can cause problems with fullcourt pressure or in the halfcourt M2M and zone sets. Evan’s game is flush with the physical and mental skills to be highly effective. Keep watch.
Dez Krakowka, 6’3 W/F – Mount St. Joseph Academy Class of 2025
Dez falls somewhere between the 3 and the 4. Krakowka has unlimited post-game where he puts defenders in the spin cycle with his deep bag of moves. Yet he’s comfortable on the perimeter where he can knock down jumpers or move the ball and draw out bigs. And on the defensive end he’s quite versatile. Dez has good foot speed for his size, using his mobility to switch out onto perimeter guys in a pinch. Yet with his size and strength he’s a post powerhouse who makes life tough on opposing bigs. Highly dynamic, the southpaw swingman can take his game many directions.
Grant Cieplicki Grant Cieplicki 6'5" | SF Rice Memorial | 2025 State NLG , 6’3 W – Rice Memorial High School Class of 2025
The swingman went down midway through the winter, but this list wouldn’t be complete without him. Grant is a guy that’s plug and play. He can step out and hit jumpers or finish strong in the second layer. Plus, off ball he has good senses, cutting into space nicely. Additionally, his passing vision and timing is clearly intuitive and simply smooth. Then defensively he does a little of everything. Cieplicki covers multiple positions, cleans glass well, and has coast-to-coast ability. Grant is that swiss army knife that glues everything together.
Carson Cody, 6’2 G – Montpelier High School Class of 2025
It seems like Carson can make something out of nothing. With his shifty handle and fundamental footwork, Cody gets to his spots consistently and finishes his looks at each level. While he does create a ton of offense with the ball in his hands he’s shown nice off ball instincts too, cutting wisely and setting solid screens. Plus, Carson is a wily defender, using his length and quickness to guard multiple positions and disrupt offensive rhythm. Carson produces in myriad ways and loves to compete.
Haidin Chilafoux, 5’11 G – North Country Union High School Class of 2025
I didn’t see a ton of Haidin throughout the year, but he balled out in the playoffs. Chilafoux is a 2 guard with simple yet elegant game. Offensively he’s a 3-level threat who’s most efficient off the catch. Haidin moves wisely off the ball and uses nice change of pace + direction to lose defenders and create space. Yet he’s shown strong slashing instincts and a solid finishing package. On the defensive end he defends the perimeter with his good length and anticipation, moving well into help position and keeping ballhandlers in front. Chilafoux’s game continues to grow.
