Below is review of six players who posted standout performances in Wednesday night’s post season contests.
Mason Blazer Mason Blazer 6'5" | SG Middletown | 2024 State PA – 6’5” / Junior / Middletown / Wing: On Wednesday night this long and versatile prospect displayed NBA distance range on his high percentage 3-point shot. Blazer also showed that he can score via the offensive glass and on the fast break. Blazer registered 20 points (3 threes) and snagged 6 rebounds in Middletown’s District 3-4A playback loss to Eastern York.
Kareem Diaz – 6’5” / Senior / Dobbins Tech / BW Elite / Small Forward: Diaz is a three-level scorer with several 30-spots on his basketball resume. So, it should not be a surprise that the is lefty came up big for Dobbins in their District 12-5A play-in victory on Wednesday. Last night this lefty tossed in 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds as Dobbins punched their ticket to the state tourney.
Touari “Deuce” Ketner Touari “Deuce” Ketner 6'7" | PF Bonner-Prendergast | 2024 State PA – 6’7” / Junior / Msgr. Bonner & Prendie / K-Low Elite / Power Forward: With three Bonner starters sitting out of their District 12-5A play-in contest because of PIAA transfer rulings, Ketner was forced to carry the Friars last night. Ketner (20 points) displayed a smooth mid-range game and scored through contact at the rim. Unfortunately, it was not enough as Bonner lost to Dobbins. Ketner’s quickness is tight spaces is an underrated asset of his. He holds offers from Drexel, Albany, and Robert Morris.
Deuce Maxey Deuce Maxey 6'2" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2025 State PA – 6’2” / Sophomore / Archbishop Wood / Team Final EYBL / Combo Guard: Last night during Wood’s drubbing of Olney in their District 12-5A play-in game, this speedy guard scored points in transition and via his watery jumper. In limited minutes, Maxey netted 17 points. Maxey continues to prove he is one of top 2025 backcourt prospects in the state.
Carter Wamsley Carter Wamsley 6'7" | PF Eastern York | 2025 State PA – 6’6” / Sophomore / Eastern York / York Ballers / Wing: Wamsley’s ability to bang in the post, handle the rock like a guard and shoot the 3-ball make him a high-level stretch-4 prospect. All those skills were on display last night when Wamsley dropped 17 points in EY’s District 3-4A playback win over Middletown. Wamsley in receiving interest from several DI schools including Mount St. Mary’s and William & Mary.
Robert Wright III Robert Wright III 6'0" | PG Montverde Academy (FL) | 2024 State #35 Nation FL – 5’11” / Junior / Neumann-Goretti / Team Final EYBL / Point Guard: We are certain that Wright is still seething from NG’s overtime loss to Roman Catholic in the PCL championship game. Last night in the District 12-4A title game, Overbrook caught the brunt of that anger. The dynamic and multi-skilled Wright (Baylor commit) scored in every way possible as he poured in a school record 43 points (5 triples). In addition to his point total, Wright’s basketball IQ and instincts were extremely impressive.
