Below is review of eight players who posted standout performances during Friday night’s state tourney contests.
Joshua Alcantara – 6’4″ / Senior / Muhlenberg / Team Final Red / Small Forward: Alcantara is a high energy and polished offensive prospect who can play as a stretch-4. Last night he knocked home 5 threes on his way to a career high 19 points as the Muhlenberg won their 5A game vs. Unionville.
Jackson Gaffney Jackson Gaffney 6'6" | SG Radnor | 2023 State PA – 6’6″ / Senior / Radnor / Team Final Black / Shooting Guard: Friday night,Radnor’s talented Class of 2023 carried them to an opening round win over Warwick. Gaffney came off the bench to score as season high 17 points. The senior splashed 3 triples and scored at the cup through contact. Somehow the extremely athletic and multi-skilled Gaffney remains uncommitted.
Jackson Hicke Jackson Hicke 6'5" | SF Radnor | 2023 State PA – 6’4″ / Senior / Radnor / Prim3Tim3 / Shooting Guard: Hicke (Princeton commit) dominated for Radnor from the opening tip last night. He went coast-to-coast for buckets, popped 2 treys, scored in the mid-range and via the offensive glass. When the final horn sounded, Hicke had registered 30 points to go along with 10 rebounds and Radnor was moving on.
Jake Karnish – 6’1″ / Senior / Fleetwood / NEPA Elite / Combo Guard: KingsCollege (D3)should be ecstatic about getting a commitment from this 3-level scoring guard. In addition to his scoring talents, Karnish possesses tremendous basketball instincts as well as enough handles and court vision to run at the point guard spot. Last night Karnish tossed in 19 points (3 triples) during Fleetwood’s 4A tourney loss to O’Hara.
Robbie Logan – 6’0″/ Senior / Unionville / East Coast Power / Small Forward: Despite being double teamed throughout most of “U’ville’s” game against Muhlenberg, this long-distance sniper with a high basketball IQ still managed to hit 5 threes and score 19 points overall. However, it was not enough as Unionville was eliminated from the 5A tourney.
Michael Miller Michael Miller 5'10" | CG Muhlenberg | 2026 State PA – 5’10″ / Freshman / Muhlenberg / Combo Guard: Miller is another talented prospect who came off the bench Friday night to supply instant offensefor“Muhl”. This quick guard with a smooth crossover and watery jump shot tallied 15 points (1 three) in their 5A win over Unionville.
Izaiah Pasha Izaiah Pasha 6'4" | CG Cardinal O'Hara | 2023 State PA – 6’4” / Senior / Cardinal O’Hara / Philly Pride National UAA / Point Guard: On Friday night this 1,000+ point scorer and future Iona Gael poured in 23 points. Pasha scored in transition, as well as off mid-range pull ups and drives to the cup. He even sprinkled in a 3-ball during O’Hara’s victory in the 4A tourney.
Robert Wright III Robert Wright III 6'0" | PG Montverde Academy (FL) | 2024 State #35 Nation FL – 5’11” / Junior / Neumann-Goretti / Team Final EYBL / Point Guard: Wright III (Baylor commit) continues to cook here in March. After this dynamic three-level scorer torched Overbrook for 43 points (5 triples) in the District 12-4A title game, last night Wright III recorded 23 points and 3 dimes in a win over Middletown in the 1st Round of the 4A state bracket.
