The blue-collar players, the ones behind the scenes that don’t necessarily get the hype are on the team also. This list is of players that don’t get the minutes that the stars get and don’t receive the same attention. It is easy to write on the stars but the players that are on the court, that get the extra possessions on the court, that put their heart and soul into the team deserve credit also. This list provides a detailed look at some of the bottom tier players in West Virginia looking to make their mark in 2024.
Dylan Casto Dylan Casto 6’1″ | CG Sissonville | 2024 State WV is a 6’0″ combo guard from Ripley High School in West Virginia. Casto only averaged 26 minutes per game but has an overall game with a lot of upsides to his game. He averaged 7.1 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game, 4.2 assists per game and 0.1 blocks per game. A defensive standout with his 4.2 steals per game. With more minutes, Casto is poised to make a huge jump in 2024 for Ripley High School.
Austin Adkins
Austin Adkins
Austin Adkins is a 5’11” combo guard for Lincoln County High School in West Virginia. Adkins has a lot of intangibles to his game. In only 23 minutes per game, Adkins averaged 7.0 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, 1.2 assists per game, 0.5 steals per game and 0.1 blocks per game. His stats are only going to go up going into his senior season when his playing time should go up. Adkins looks to do big things in 2024 for Lincoln County High School.
Tyce Day
Tyce Day
Tyce Day is a 6’3″ small forward from Morgantown Christian Academy in West Virginia. Day has plenty of perks to his game. Day only averaged 17 minutes per game but still averaged a healthy 7.0 points per game, 1.9 rebounds per game, 0.4 assists per game and 0.8 steals per game. Morgantown Christian Academy was loaded at all positions, but he found a way to contribute when he was on the court. With tremendous upside, he is poised to garner more minutes and breakout on the offensive end in 2024 for Morgantown Christian Academy.
Aiden Cheuvront

Aiden Cheuvront is a shooting guard from Wirt County High School in West Virginia. Aiden is an impressive all-around athlete ready to make his mark in 2024. In only 24 minutes of game action, Cheuvront had 7.0 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game, 1.7 steals per game and 0.1 blocks per game. With increased minutes, Cheuvront’s overall numbers should improve dramatically in 2024 for Wirt County High School.
Maddox Anderson Maddox Anderson 5’10” | PG Tucker County | 2024 WV is a 5’10” combo guard from Tucker County in Hambleton, West Virginia. Anderson only averaged 16 minutes per game, but he has an extremely impressive overall game. Anderson averaged 6.9 points per game, 1.9 rebounds per game, 2.4 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game and 0.3 blocks per game. With the limited minutes he was gave, you can see the talent level he possesses. Anderson is poised to be a breakout star in 2024 for Tucker County High School.
