In this piece we detail some of the top performers we saw at the event.
Jalen Glenn Jalen Glenn 6'5" | SF Inderkum | 2023 State CA-N , 2023, Play Hard Play Smart
Glenn was among a couple of talented unsigned seniors playing in this event and what put him on the map as a recruitable prospect is exactly what he did well on the weekend. Glenn is a confident scoring guard who knocks down perimeter jumpers off the catch from three-point range and can get to a pull-up mid-range jumper with good balance and lift.
Jermaine Haliburton Jermaine Haliburton 6'2" | PG Inderkum | 2023 State CA-N , 2023 Play Hard Play Smart
Haliburton is an intriguing point guard prospect who is still on the board. The Northern California-based prospect is a dynamic ball handler and playmaker in both transition and half-court settings. His combination of speed and feel for the game to go along with his quick twitch athleticism makes him a player who is tough for defenders to keep out of the lane. Haliburton puts pressure on the defense with his ability to get downhill and finish at the rim. He can also knock down perimeter jumpers with consistency.
KJ Miller, 2024, Salt Lake Rebels
Miller is a tough, physical combo guard who is simply wired to score. The 6-foot-2 prospect based out of Layton, Utah is an elite three-point shooter off the catch and utilizes an effective shot-fake to two-dribble pull-up when defenders eventually over-pursue on closeouts to run him off the three-point line. Another aspect of Miller’s game that stood out was his willingness to turn down decent shots to move the ball to an open teammate for a better shot.
Malachi Knight Malachi Knight 6'1" | CG Leuzinger | 2025 State CA-S , 2025, Belmont Shore
Knight is an intriguing scoring guard in SoCal’s 2025 class. The 6-foot-2 sophomore can really knock down the three-ball off the catch and his quick release allows him to get his shot off with minimal time and space. It was evident that Knight was becoming more confident in his ball-handling and ability to attack the basket off the bounce to diversify his offensive game.
Reece Dent, 2024, Salt Lake Rebels
Dent is the true definition of a stretch four as his long, wiry 6-foot-8 frame combined with his spot-shooting ability and high release point make him a tough cover for opposing bigs. Dent has the fluidity and ball skills to attack the basket and finish at the rim as well.
