Big Red was running with Team Lillard this weekend and it looks like he found a home because he looked good for them this past weekend. The big fella was hand down man down all weekend long. It was obvious to see that teams were not ready for a big fella like that to light them up from deep. You can hear coaches across the gym yelling shooter every time he touched the ball. Then on bad close outs he was making his way to the rim. He is more agile than he gets credit as he can get a board and take it coast to coast. Great passer when he catches the ball with his back to the basket as he can see cutters.
Isaac looked great playing his more natural position on his AAU club at the 4. Showcasing his agility and range was something to see from someone so big. Really liked how he committed to playing defense and crashing the boards. His team is deep and he played really hard when he was on the floor. He is going to be a player that is going to get to the free-throw-line a lot.
Julian was playing the PG and he is starting to really be effective there at a high level. Playing PG in Idaho against the teams he saw most of the year was light work compared to what he has to do at the Grassroots level. Once he settles in more he will be really good at getting by pressure and getting that ball moving. He will always be a shooting threat off the ball. He had a great game against Oakland Soldiers EYBL in a win. Had the pass of the day in a lob to fellow Pocatello Native Isiah Harwell.
Highlights
Big strong PG who looks a lot bigger than 6’2. Might just be the hair but this kid is tough. If you rotate late he is going to hurt you and get an AND 1. He can drive and protect the ball at different levels. He can also work different levels on the bounce as well. His change of pace and his change of direction is crazy good. The Ohio State University commit is legit. On of the better on balance side to side creators. This kid can create major space.
