BEDFORD VS. WOODHAVEN
Bedford is playing it’s best basketball of the year and utilizing their inside and outside presences. Woodhaven has had a banner year becoming the first team to ever go 16-0 in the Downriver League.
PREDICTION: Woodhaven
Players to watch:
I’ve been really impressed with Hollinger’s play this season. He looks both stronger and quicker and has some versatility as well. If Hollinger can win the glass and control the paint, Bedford has a great chance of winning this game.
Aaron Chapman
Aaron Chapman
First of all, we dropped the ball on this one. This young man should be ranked. He’s a lightning bolt out of the backcourt and can create runs offensively. Chapman is an athletic multi level scorer. If he gets hot, Woodhaven probably goes home with a trophy.
CORUNNA VS. FLINT HAMADY
Corunna has just consistently got the job done all year. They’re a tough team, both physically and mentally. Hamady is a high flying show that opponents have struggled to keep in check all year.
PREDICTION: Flint Hamady
Players to watch:
Termeer is a talented guard that can match up physically. They’ll need his high basketball IQ and efficient shooting and scoring. If Termeer can score at a high clip and control tempo, the game may be Corunna’s for the taking.
People have been trying to keep Boose in check all season and it just doesn’t seem to be working. He’s fast down the floor and can beat the defense back in transition. His speed and ability to handle the ball generally gets him a lot of looks at the rim and powerful finishes as well.
KENT CITY VS. NORTH MUSKEGON
These 2 teams look really close on paper. I think this one comes down to the backcourts. The fewer the turnovers (which both teams are good at not producing), the better the chance of winning.
PREDICTION: North Muskegon
Larson is a solid all around athlete that moves freely on the court. He may be the best all around athlete on the court. If he can control momentum and play an efficient floor game, his team most likely moves on.
McManus leads the way on what could be one of the better defensive teams in the state. They do say that defense wins championships right? Well if McManus can lock it down on D and get some buckets on the other end, North Muskegon’s season continues.
