Class 4-6 State Quarterfinals Standouts

Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top standouts from last Friday night’s Class 4-6 state quarterfinals games from around the state. These players were instrumental in helping their respective teams to the Final Four, which will be held this weekend in Springfield.

Steven Samuels (Jefferson City): The 6’0″ 2023 guard scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Jays to a 60-56 overtime victory over Hillcrest in the Class 5 state quarterfinals in Bolivar. He is an impressive two-way guard who can score and also lock people down on defense.

Trae Oetting Trae Oetting 6'0" | CG Kickapoo | 2023 State MO (Kickapoo): The 6’0″ 2023 guard scored 19 points in the Chiefs 49-43 victory over Lee’s Summit West in the Class 6 state quarterfinals in Bolivar. Oetting is an excellent floor leader and a capable scorer. He also has a propensity to hit big shots in big moments.

Devin Conley Devin Conley 6'1" | PG Pembroke Hill | 2023 State MO (Pembroke Hill): The 6’2″ 2023 guard had 20 points, five rebounds and four assists in the Raiders’ 70-42 victory over Ruskin in the Class 5 state quarterfinal in Sedalia. He is an explosive point guard who can score and also set up teammates with his passing and playmaking skills.

Darin Conley Darin Conley 6'5" | PF Pembroke Hill | 2023 State MO (Pembroke Hill): The 6’5″ 2023 forward had 16 points and 14 rebounds in the Raiders victory over Ruskin in Sedalia. “Diesel” is a tireless worker inside who showed why he is one of the top rebounders in the state.

Caden Casey Caden Casey 6'0" | CG Park Hills Central | 2024 State MO (Park Hills Central): The 6’1″ 2024 guard scored 14 points in the Rebels 56-52 victory over MICDS in the Class 4 state quarterfinals at Jefferson College in Hillsboro. Caden was money from the free throw line as he hit 10 of his 11 attempts, including four in a row in the closing seconds to seal the victory.

Jack Fessenden Jack Fessenden 6'3" | SG Troy Buchanan | 2023 State MO (Troy): The 6’3″ 2023 guard scored 17 points in the Trojans 74-62 victory over Chaminade in the Class 6 state quarterfinals at Lindenwood University. He is a sharpshooter who can also play solid defense on the perimeter.

Charlie Nett Charlie Nett 6'0" | PG Troy | 2023 State MO (Troy): The 6’0″ 2023 point guard scored a team-high 18 points in the Trojans’ victory over Chaminade in the Class 6 state quarterfinals at Lindenwood University. Nett was also the hero of the Trojans victory over Francis Howell in the district championship game with a jumper as time expired in overtime.

Nashawn Davis Nashawn Davis 6'4" | SF Cardinal Ritter | 2024 State MO (Cardinal Ritter): The versatile 6’4″ 2024 wing had a team-high 16 points in the Lions’ 62-45 victory over Sikeston in the Class 5 state quarterfinals at Jefferson College in Hillsboro. He is a matchup problem with his ability to score inside or make a play on the perimeter.
