This past weekend at the Big Shots Charleston Tip Off saw some players still looking for a college next season. Who are these players? Well, we have the answer for you right here. Dates is a WINNER from Goose Creek HS. Elijah is a wiry guard who can play both guard spots in the backcourt. He really understands the game with a strong basketball IQ and a willingness to defend. Elijah makes open shots and winning plays for your team. He never seems to be rattled on the floor and always seems to be under control.
Davinroy plays the game with a bit of chip on his shoulder it seems. Calvin came up big today in a great game vs Big Shots SC Premier. He really brings a good defensive intensity and willingness to win. Davinroy surely isn’t flashy at all, but the kid plays his tail off and buys into the team concept at all times. Calvin played his whole career at Wando HS before coming over to Oceanside Collegiate Academy this past season.
Coleman told Prep Hoops he would like to stay close to home and play his college ball. Justin can step-out and knockdown the occasional jumper or battle for position down in the paint. He surely has no problems playing the game on contact and at times needs to stay out of foul trouble. Coleman could be a solid undersized post player at the right level who could beat bigger posts down the floor. He has good footwork from side to side in the paint.
Gladden has a good skill set to go with his versatility. Jy can touch the paint or look to knockdown the open jumper from time to time. Gladden can defend multiple positions on the floor with his length. He had a great season with the Bruins and made a trip to the Class 4A State Championship Game before falling to Irmo HS.
Clark is built like a tank and likes to play low to the ground. Robert a point guard from Andrew Jackson Academy really plays the game with a lot of fire and energy. He plays the game at even keel and really under control while on the hardwood. Clark in the fall plays football in the backfield for AJA. Robert is a pass first point guard who really plays into the team concept.
