These guys have the skills and abilities to lead their teams to a successful season in 2023-2024. Along with prowess on the court, these players exude the intangible leadership skills needed to play at the next level. While these players don’t have Division I level physicality or attributes, plenty of college coaches would love to have them on their teams.
Nathan Greer
Nathan Greer
Nathan Greer, a 6’2 rising Junior at Grove City High School, boasts an impressive ability to get to the rim on the dribble. He has a reliable left-handed finishing ability and shows a knack for finding ways to score. Despite being a bit lanky, Nathan demonstrates toughness at the rim and isn’t afraid to initiate contact. He should continue to fill out and gain more muscle over the next few years. Although his shooting form is a little unconventional, it proves effective. Greer is a tenacious defender and excels at reading and jumping passing lanes. He can defend both bigs and guards, further adding to his versatility.
Jack Burchard is a rising Junior with a great deal of potential. As the top scorer for Meadville last season, he has established himself as one of the top three-point shooters in District 10. Although at 5’9, he is a bit undersized, he has the body type that looks like a growth spurt is still on its way. When that happens — watch out because Jack has the potential to become a formidable player. Burchard displays good speed on the court and demonstrates excellent vision on the fast break, making great passes off the dribble. He is also an exceptional ball handler. Jack has a beautiful shooting stroke and will knock down most shots from long-range when left open. His skills make him a valuable asset to the Meadville Bulldogs, and his potential for growth makes him an exciting prospect for the future.
Tommy Nyquist
Tommy Nyquist
Tommy Nyquist, a 5’9 rising Senior point guard at Warren, possesses good handles and quickness, allowing him to easily blow past to create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Despite being a bit shorter in height, Tommy’s superior bulk and strength make him tough to defend. He has a nice shooting stroke and can knock down shots from deep when left open. Tommy’s bread-and-butter move is a little inside-out fake crossover. Although he favors his right hand just a bit, if Nyquist continues to work on his left hand, he will become an even more versatile player. Overall, Tommy Nyquist’s combination of skills, strength, and potential make him an interesting prospect for the next level.
Sayyid Donald
Sayyid Donald
Sayyid Donald is a valuable asset on both sides of the court. This Oil City rising Senior forward boasts quick hands on defense. Sayyid possesses solid ball-handling skills and is unselfish, always willing to make the extra pass. But that doesn’t mean he can’t score — his excellent footwork helps him to make tough plays in the lane while off balance. Once Donald gets to the paint, he is a strong scorer and has an excellent up-and-under move. Sayyid also shows a reliable outside shot and can knock them down when left open. He thrives in pick-and-roll scenarios, setting forceful screens, catching the roll pass in traffic, and finishing at the rim. Overall, Sayyid Donald’s versatile skill set will make him a recruiting target for college coaches.

Blayze Myers Blayze Myers 6’2″ | PF McDowell | 2025 PA , a 6’1 rising Junior guard for McDowell, possesses both size and strength. He takes the ball strong to the hoop and uses his big frame to contact the defender on the finish, making him a difficult player to defend. Blayze has a decent shot when he gets set, adding another element to his offensive game. He is big enough to be a force on the boards, both on offense and defense. Myers is also a strong defender who can effectively guard both guards and bigger guys. He can keep players faster than him in front and is physical enough to prevent them from driving the ball to the lane on the dribble. Myers led McDowell in rebounds, steals, and assists last season and should continue to grow and improve over the next few years. Watch for him to be a leader for the Trojans next season.
