David Ellis II David Ellis II 6’8″ | C Wilson Prep | 2024 State NC took a huge step forward in his junior campaign with the Wilson Prep Tigers in their quest to a NCHSAA 1A State crown. He showed his dominance around the rim on both ends of the floor, showing he can sacrifice his versatility on offense to be a terror around the rim defensively. He finished with 14 points, 19 rebounds and four blocks in their victory over Eastern Randolph High in the final, well above his season averages of 8.2 ppg, 10.7 rpg and 1.5 bpg. He’s a prospect that’s coming into his own in the 2024 class as he moves from No. 88 to the 15th spot in the latest rankings update. He’s a forward that uses his length well on both ends of the floor to make his presence felt and proved to be a terror in the frontcourt against opponents all the way up to their championship victory.

Ryan Soulis Ryan Soulis 6’10” | C Asheville School | 2024 NC is a Greek national that continues to climb up the radar at Asheville School in the NCISAA, moving from the 30th spot into No. 18 spot in the latest update. He’s an active 6-foot-10 presence that isn’t afraid to get his nose dirty as a rim protector and rebounder and quite the versatile presence on the wing with his ability to score the ball and make plays for others. He’s a name that should grow this spring/summer with an offer already from Stony Brook. He’ll run with Boo Williams on the EYBL circuit this grassroots cycle.

Ari Fulton Ari Fulton 6’7″ | SF Westover | 2024 State NC is an impressive 2024 forward prospect to get to know at Westover High, moving from No. 46 to No. 23 in the latest 2024 update. He’s a 6-foot-6 prospect that plays with a ton of energy around the rim on both ends and has shown he can step out and knock down shots on the perimeter and in the mid-range. He finished his junior campaign averaging 16.3 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 2.1 spg and 1.4 apg while shooting 58 percent from the field in 2022-23. He’s figuring things out as he grows into his long wingspan and continues to develop his game. He’ll be an intriguing wing/forward prospect to keep an eye on with Team Curry on the grassroots scene this spring/summer.
Clash Peters Clash Peters 6’8″ | PF Word of God | 2024 State NC is a 6-foot-8 big man that’s found his way after a recent move to Trinity Academy Raleigh in the 2024 class. He moves from 49th into the 40th spot as a stock-rising big man in the class. He’s a forward/big that runs the floor with pace and found his way finishing around the rim by season’s end as the Tigers made a run in the NCISAA Playoffs. He’s got strong hands in the post and has shown he can step out and knock down shots at the stretch-forward position as well. His biggest asset though is his motor on the rebounding front. Even without the ball in his hands, he does a tremendous job to battle on the boards and clean up missed shots on the glass. He’s a name to keep an eye on with Team CP3 on the EYBL circuit this grassroots cycle.
Amari Latham Amari Latham 6’5″ | PF Goldsboro | 2024 State NC was quite the second option for the Goldsboro Cougars in their run to the NCHSAA 2A Region Finals. He moves from 77th into the 53rd spot in the latest 2024 rankings update after proving himself as a force on the rebounding and finishing front for the Cougars in 2022-23. He finished second on the squad in scoring (18.8 ppg) and rebounds (8.4 rpg) along with 2.1 apg and 2.5 spg keeping pace behind East Carolina commit Ta’Korrie Faison Ta’Korrie Faison 6’7″ | PF Goldsboro | 2023 State NC . He’s a slowly becoming an imposing force around the painted area and showed he could knock down shots on the perimeter when needed, shooting 9-of-20 (45 percent) from 3-point land on the season. He’ll look to step up in a big way for Goldsboro High in 2023-24 as he takes over as the main option. He’s listed at just 6-foot-5 but plays a lot bigger than his size given his athleticism, wingspan, and energy. He’ll be one to keep an eye out for this grassroots season.

Demondre Haymon Demondre Haymon 6’8″ | PF Northern Nash | 2024 State NC moves into the Top 100 with the latest 2024 rankings update, moving from No. 127 to the 91st spot after a productive season in the Northern Nash High frontcourt. He’s a 6-foot-8 forward that can operate inside and out with his ability to create matchup problems given his length, athleticism and improving skillset. He finished his junior campaign producing 10.1 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 1.4 bpg while shooting 41 percent from the field and knocking down 24 3-pointers. He’s a strong breakout grassroots candidate heading into pivotal grassroots season with Team Loaded 919 out of Durham.
Trey Manhertz Trey Manhertz 6’6″ | PF Green Level | 2024 State NC moves his way off the watch list and into the 90th spot in the latest 2024 rankings following his junior season with Green Level High. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on given his ability to play with a ton of energy and operate around the rim as a stopper and finisher in traffic. He’s made tremendous strides in the frontcourt, posting 6.4 ppg and 3.6 rpg while shooting 46 percent from the field. He’s a name at 6-foot-6 capable of operating at either forward spot given his mobility and length. He’ll run with Garner Road
