Colin Comstock Colin Comstock 6'2" | SG Elkhorn | 2024 State NE | Elkhorn
Comstock is a 6’2 guard that has the ability to handle it at more of a two guard spot. He’s got some great range to his deep ball and very confident behind the arc and then some. Displayed that range a bit at the State Tournament knocking down several triples, feet behind by the line. He’s also a slashing threat off the bounce. Like I said he is an able ball handler so can get by his man and can go get some buckets at the cup.
Drake Travis | DC West
Travis is a 6’4 guard that can light it up from beyond the arc and get things flowing offensively. With how fast he gets his feet set, ball into his shooting pocket, it is tough for defenders to get a hand in his face. And to add onto that he is not afraid to shoot it with an aggressive closeout coming. Great vision in the half court set and gets his guys the ball in a position to score. He racked up a fair amount of assists hitting cutters but also made some tough passes to interior players. He is also an able finisher that can finish some tough layups.
Luke Howard Luke Howard 5'10" | PG Elkhorn | 2024 State NE | Elkhorn
Howard is a 5’11 one guard for the Antlers that is one of class B’s best floor generals. He’s got a lot of true point guard traits you want in your orchestrator of the offense. Floor general, facilitator, ability to create shots for everyone on the floor, gets the ball to guys in a position to score, quick first step and great pace and poise with the basketball. In regards to his passing, he makes a lot of good decisions. Doesn’t try to do to much, makes passes off two feet, utilizes the ball fake, especially against Crete’s active zone. Utilizing that quick first step, he is a slashing threat and will finish through contact or draw a foul to get to the line.
Gage Olsen Gage Olsen 5'10" | PG Plattsmouth | 2024 State NE | Plattsmouth
Olsen is a 6’2 guard with a jumper that he can get off in a hurry. Exceptional ball handler but can be a scoring threat from anywhere within 22 feet. Possesses poise with the ball seeing some full court pressure of a flying defender, and controls the tempo as there primary ball handler. Really like his decision making in regards whether to shoot, pass it to a open or cutting teammate, or attack the closeout from the defender.
Jackson Kerchal Jackson Kerchal 6'4" | SF Dundy County Stratton | 2024 State NE | Dundy County Stratton
Kerchal is a 6’4 forward with a lot of strength and has the ability to convert on some tough shots. Very pure close shot. He elevates when he shoots it and can knock down the turnaround fade or the face jumper. Strong takes from the block and soft touch at the rim. Big fan of his spin move. Elevates and keeps the ball high and away from defenders down low. On the defensive end he was altering shots and grabbing boards. Mobility was solid as he was matched up more so on guards or small forwards. Elm Creek did a great job of limiting his opportunities but he took advantage of the ones he got.
