Taylor was one of the top performers in the senior class as he led the way for Princeton High with a record of 21-4 and 8-2 to close out his career in the high school ranks. He produced 26.9 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 4.4 apg, 3.9 spg and 1.4 bpg, showing off his ability to make an impact in more ways than one while using his athleticism and length at 6-foot-3. He’s a prospect that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor and can operate at the guard/wing spot in the rotation. He’s a name for DII and DIII programs to get to know in the state.
Highlights
Pettus has been a name that’s flown under the radar for far too long out of Bessemer City High. He’s a 6-foot guard that nearly averaged a triple-double in his senior season with 24.0 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 8.1 apg and 1.3 bpg as the Yellow Jackets made it to the third round of the NCHSAA State Playoffs. He showed off his ability to get rebounds out of the net and create offense with the likes of Keyshawn Adams Keyshawn Adams 6’6″ | PF Bessemer City | 2023 State NC (Livingstone) and Nazari Smarr. He’s another name for DII and DIII schools to get eyes on out of the 704 area.
Lynch is another unsigned senior guard that’s flown under the radar in the 336 area with North Surry High. They just completed a 27-2 season and finished unbeaten at 12-0 in conference action with Lynch leading the way with 21.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 5.8 apg and 2.9 spg as quite the two-way presence in the backcourt for the Greyhounds. He’s an athletic guard that can push the pace with the ball in his hands and knock down shots on the perimeter that DI and DII programs in need of a winning-type of combo guard like him.
Cerda is quite the competitor in the backcourt as he starred in the Millbrook High backcourt as they went 21-8 on the year and 9-1 in conference action. He’s a lead guard that made an impact in the Wildcats backcourt in 2022-23, putting up 12.9 ppg, 5.6 apg, 5.2 rpg and 3.1 spg as a playmaker and two-way presence in their rotation. He has a knack for wreaking havoc around the ball when he’s on the floor. He’s a prospect DII and DIII programs in the region should get eyes on.
Hart is a top-rated floor general not cause of his team’s record but for his ability to do more with less in the Fuquay-Varina High backcourt. He’s a high IQ floor general that’s led his Bengals’ squad to quite a few upsets while leading all seniors in assists per game (8.1) to go along with 13.0 ppg and 8.3 rpg. He recorded a triple-double in their defeat of conference rival Garner High this season. He’s a talented guard prospect that colleges of all levels should get eyes on as an unsigned senior this spring/summer.
