Dalvin Dawson Dalvin Dawson 5'10" | PG Midfield HS | 2023 State AL (5’11/SG/’23/Midfield HS)

With the performances that Dalvin poured in this year from behind the arc, he made a claim to being one of, if not the best three-point shooters in the state. He doesn’t need much space to get his shot off, and he has a quick release that demands defenders stay attached to him if they want to limit his looks. He showed his ability to move without the ball and really got better playing off the ball and setting up defenders so that he could get open and get his shot off. He finds himself as the #67-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
LJ Holifield (5’11/Point Guard/’23/Faith Academy HS)

LJ is a PG with a good balance between facilitating and scoring. He did a great job distributing the rock and getting teammates involved, and when opportunities came to provide scoring, he was highly productive. He was a reliable source of production from behind the arc and kept defenses honest as they could not help off him for fear that he would knock down the trey ball off of a c&s opportunity. He shot the ball well from deep and showed his complete game this year. He finds himself as the #88-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
William Lloyd (6’1/CG/’23/Briarwood Christian)

William is a player that I have kept an eye on throughout his career. He is a very cerebral player who understands the game and has a very good feeling about what is always needed on the floor. He is the epitome of a coach on the floor and is a very trustworthy lead guard. He finds himself in this article because he can get it done from behind the arc. He is a threat from behind the arc, and defenders must always know where he is. With the responsibility of facilitating the offense, he often had to get his team in their offense, then relocate and be a recipient of a drive and kick action, in which he stayed locked and loaded and often delivered point production from deep. He finds himself as the #128-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
Terry Coner Jr. (6’0/Point Guard/’23/Pinson Valley HS)

So much ink has been put on TC over the years, and you can go back and look at the articles and get an overall glimpse into his game. He is known as the wizard because he is magic with the rock in his hands. For the sake of the article and focusing on his ability to score from deep, he has shown his ability to score off the bounce and from c&s opportunities from behind the arc throughout the year. He was one of the more efficient players from behind the arc, and a lot of his looks were like open practice shots because so much attention had to be given to stop dribble penetration against his Pinson Valley squad. He finds himself as the #12-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
Kj Graves Kj Graves 5'10" | PG Park Crossing | 2023 State AL (5’10/PG/’23/Park Crossing HS)

I have put a lot of ink on KJ over the past two years, and he is one of the most intriguing players I have covered in that time. He has shown a brilliant floor game at times and has shown a propensity to score the rock in a variety of ways at all levels, especially from behind the arc. He showed the ability to pull up off the bounce from behind the arc, and he was a knockdown shooter in c&s opportunities. He made it look effortless at times, and as I have said before, I believe he left so much on the court at times by not being as aggressive and maximizing his scoring prowess. He finds himself as the #26-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
Marlon Cook Marlon Cook SG Fayetteville HS | 2023 State AL (6’1/G/’23/Fayetteville HS)

Marlon is an athletic CG that can score the rock. He is shifty off the bounce and is a very good iso scorer. He is also one of the best from behind the arc. He can knock it down in c&s opportunities and get it done from behind the arc off the bounce. He is a lefty that knows how to create space to get his shot off and showed throughout the year that he can get it done from deep. He finds himself as the #62-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
Eli Teal Eli Teal CG Douglas HS | 2023 State AL (5’11/CG/’23/Douglas HS)
Eli was a double-digit scorer for the year, and a lot of his point production came from behind the arc. He shot the ball well and was a reliable source of points from deep. He was efficient with his offensive opportunities, especially from behind the arc, and he was a presence that had to be accounted for at all times. He finds himself as the #146-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
Qelsian Kelley Qelsian Kelley SG Midfield HS | 2023 State AL (5’11/G/’23/Midfield HS)
Qelsian got a lot of looks from behind the arc as he was surrounded with playmakers and was able to benefit from so many eyes being on Dalvin Dawson Dalvin Dawson 5'10" | PG Midfield HS | 2023 State AL . The strength of his game was making shots from behind the arc, and he provided that for the Patriots on their run to the final four. He finds himself as the #141-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
Jasaveion Moore Jasaveion Moore SG Loachapoka HS | 2023 State AL (6’1/SG/’23/Loachapoka HS)
Jasaveion is a kid that can flat-out score the rock. He went for huge numbers quite often throughout the season, and a lot of his production came from beyond the arc. He is a multi-dimensional lead guard that proved to be a bonafide scorer and extremely lethal from deep. He was a major contributor for his squad this year and impacted winning with his ability to score the rock from all levels. He finds himself as the #49-ranked player in our final 2023 rankings.
