2023 New Additions

The end of the high school season escorts in the final senior update. What a journey it has been with these hoopers. Turbulent for sure. Between Co-Vid cancelations, emigration to other states, in-state transfers, quitters, the normal football focusers, the rankings changed perhaps more than any other.

Tyric Jones Tyric Jones 6'1" | PG Austin-East | 2023 State TN , Austin-East

“Heartbeat of the team,” dubbed Head Coach Bertram. The ok shooter cared only about winning and ego played no role. Nobody devoted more of their soul and physical energy to the playoff game at White County, so much so that Jones crumbled to the floor after White County scored in the final five seconds and Shane Cherry Shane Cherry 5'9" | PG Austin-East | 2025 State TN missed a halfcourt heave. Jones slashed pretty well and defended on-ball better than average. Passed eagerly. Insensible earned him this ranking though.

Ideal size for the position.

Camden Lockett Camden Lockett 6'3" | SG South Gibson | 2023 State TN , South Gibson

Exceptional height for the position. He is listed and actually 6-foot-4. Lockett is a strong outside shooter and a fantastic rebounder, even very rarely surpassing ten rebounds in a game. Lockett is not a blazing PG. He tends to beat his man with long strides. Adept catch-and-shoot guy. Pitches for South Gibson baseball team.

Austin Alexander Austin Alexander 6'2" | PG Wilson Central | 2023 State TN , Wilson Central

Feisty. Scored 32 points in the season opener. Fast hands. Alexander recorded six steals in a single game this year. Though an average to below average rebounder, Alexander wisely finds his rebounder and quickly pushes the ball, turning defense into offense. Facing Mt. Juliet at Mt. Juliet, AA repeatedly dribbled into the gut of the defense. Slightly quicker than the average 4A guard. His speed will fit right in line with an NAIA program.
