Davontay Hutson Davontay Hutson 6'2" | SG Trenton | 2023 State NJ , 6’2 W Trenton Central 2023
Hutson had a strong game for the Tornadoes as he led them with 25 points and made big shots down the stretch. The 6’2 wing finished nicely around the basket and did not mind contact in the paint. Hutson showed off a good handle and moved well within the flow of the offense. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor as he secured multiple offensive rebounds for the Tornadoes. Hutson fouled out with a couple minutes left in the game and his impact was felt throughout the game for Trenton Central.
Deuce Jones Deuce Jones 6'1" | PG College Achieve | 2024 State #221 Nation NJ , 6’2 PG St. Thomas Aquinas 2024
Jones was outstanding for the Trojans as he was their driving force throughout the game. The 6’2 guard used his tight handle and quick first step to blow by his defender and was constantly drawing contact. Jones was able to get to his spot on the floor and rose up with confidence on his jumper. He skied for rebounds and made plays on the defensive end. Jones poured in a game-high 29 points and should have more games like that for St. Thomas Aquinas during the postseason.
Chris Wilson Chris Wilson 6'4" | PF Trenton | 2023 State NJ , 6’4 F Trenton Central 2023
Wilson had a standout game for the Tornadoes as he put his offensive versatility on display. The 6’4 forward showed off a good release on his jumper as he knocked three triples and set his feet before every jumper. Wilson did more than just shoot as he put the ball on the floor and finished nicely around the basket. He ripped down rebounds at both ends of the floor and made his presence known on the defensive end. Wilson has been a breakout star for Trenton Central this season as he had his seventh 20-10 this season with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Jaden Kelly Jaden Kelly 6'4" | SG Roselle Catholic | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 SG St. Thomas Aquinas 2024
Kelly had a solid game for the Trojans as he finished with 12 points. The 6’4 guard has a clean shooting stroke as he wasted little motion and rarely forced any shots in the half court. Kelly moved well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open shots in the half court. He moved his feet on the defensive end as he showed the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor. Kelly’s shooting and defense is something that will be needed for St. Thomas Aquinas throughout the postseason.
Antwan Bridgett Antwan Bridgett 5'9" | PG Trenton | 2023 State NJ / Kabrien Goss Kabrien Goss 5'7" | CG Roman Catholic | 2024 PA , PG Trenton Central
Bridgett and Goss were the ones running the offense for the Tornadoes as they combined for 25 points and 16 assists. They both hit key shots down the stretch as Bridgett hit a pair of key free throws late in the fourth quarter, while Goss buried a triple with under a minute left to seal the game. Bridgett made good passes throughout the game as he played with his head up and found his open teammates in the half court. Goss used his quickness to get into the lane and showed a nice touch around the basket. Trenton Central’s point guard duo has been special this season as they have led the Tornadoes to a 22-1 record this season.
