North Putnam over Greencastle
In what was a tight game throughout, the North Putnam Cougars were able to hold off the Greencastle Tiger Cubs 37-34. Per our own Landon Bundy, who was covering the game, Greencastle turned it over on a Kaden Helderman and would result in him getting fouled and making both free throws. Greencastle missed a three at the buzzer. Brayden Monnett led 13 to lead the Cougars while Helderman added 10. Sam Gooch Sam Gooch 5'11" | PG Greencastle | 2026 State IN led with 13 for Greencastle. This game was part of the Putnam County Tournament which also saw South Putnam beat Cloverdale earlier.
Morgan Township beats Kouts, top of PCC
In a big time rivalry game, the 1A No. 4 Morgan Township Cherokees beat the Kouts Mustangs 67-54 in a fun, fast paced game. This game saw multiple runs by both teams but MT was just too much defensively at times for Kouts to get passed. The best player of the game was Jaiden Spratley with his 24 pts, 9 rbs, and 3 stls for Morgan Township. His teammate, Keagan Holder, also was fantastic for the Cherokees. Win the win, Morgan Township stands atop the PCC and extend their win streak to 12.
