Ryan Archey – 6’1” / Senior / Rocktop Academy / New World / Point Guard: This downhill style point guard is a plus player at both ends of the court. With his speed and change of direction skills, Archery thrives in transition. In the half court he will blow past defenders off the dribble and knock down threes. Recently Archey was named the Co-MVP of the Gotham Hoops Classic. He followed that up by cramming the stat sheet vs. Winston Salem Christian (NC) with a ridiculous 35 points, 9 dimes, 10 steals and 7 rebounds performance.
Christian Bliss – 6’4” / Junior / George School / NY Rens / Combo Guard: Bliss is an elite guard with size, athleticism, quickness, and an aggressive nature. His skill set is extremely well rounded, so he can crush opponents as a three-level scorer or as a precise distributor. He is also a willing defender who guards for 94-feet. In his latest outstanding three game stretch Bliss averaged 22 points per night. This run of stellar play was highlighted by a school record 39-point effort in the Friends School League Championship game. Villanova and Virginia (unofficial visit) are among the slew of schools expressing interest in Bliss.
Duce Jackson Duce Jackson 6'6" | SF Collegium Charter | 2023 State PA – 6’6″ / Collegium Charter / 610 City Gold / Small Forward: For two years now Jackson (pic above) has used his outstanding mid-range game and ability to shoot over double teams to post big numbers. But improved transition scoring and the addition of a reliable three-point shot has taken his game to another level here in 2022-23. Last week Jackson notched a pair of impressive double-doubles — 32 points and 17 rebounds vs. Christian Academy and 37 points and 13 rebounds against WC Rustin. Jackson also cacked the 1,000-point mark for his career vs. WC Rustin.
Jaren Morton Jaren Morton 6'5" | SG SCH Academy | 2023 State PA – 6’5” / Senior / SCH Academy / SJ Hoops Elite / Shooting Guard: Morton (13.7 ppg. & 41% on 3s) continues to impress us with his physical assets and Swiss Army knife skill set. His end-to-end speed, lateral quickness, vertical leap, and physicality should immediately grab the attention of college coaches. When you combine those assets with his transition scoring, college three-point range, dribble drive skills, and rebounding, college coaches should be falling all over themselves to sign Morton. This past week Morton contributed 16 points vs. Episcopal Academy and then poured in 36 points (7 threes) vs. Malvern Prep.
Luke Rasmussen Luke Rasmussen 6'6" | PF Haverford School | 2023 State PA – 6’6″ / Senior / Haverford School / East Coast Power / Wing: During a three-game run last week, this long and physical wing posted 15 ppg. on the strength of 2 made triples per night. Rasmussen’s top performance from this past week came against Episcopal Academy when he recorded 18 points (1 three) and grabbed 14 rebounds. Rasmussen’s polished and versatile skill set enables him to score on opponents in a multitude of ways. Plus, his size and athleticism present match-up issues. Rasmussen is too tall and physical for most guards to handle. He is too skilled and athletic for most forwards to defend.
