The two best teams in the league gave us a battle with some high-scoring, intense basketball. Dana Hills edged out with a 10-point win to guarantee themselves at least a share of the title. There were two players on each side that stood out from the rest that if I were a college coach, I would want on my roster as soon as possible.
Collin Haugh – SG – 5’11” – 2025 Dana Hills
Sadly this star shooting guard is not going to be available to add to an NCAA roster for a couple of years as he is only a sophomore. Leading the entire county in scoring at 24 points per game, he scored exactly that number last night. He scores in every way imaginable, but the most impressive attribute is his ability to get his shot off at any point, on anyone. He has two more years in school so he still has room to grow his skills and his size. He is an athletic guard that has so much potential that I believe should be getting way more recognition than he has been
Logan Scodeller – PG – 6’0” – 2024 Dana Hills
The point guard and main playmaker of the Dolphins is about as true of a point guard as they come. He leads the team in assists while averaging over 12 points per game. He is a great asset to your team because he is able to run any offense put in front of him. Just having the ball in his hands is going to improve your team’s chemistry because his ability to create open shots for his teammates through his driving and especially through pick and rolls is very impressive. With his solid build, he holds his own on the defensive end and has the size to defend guards and forwards.
Jayden Hubbard – SG – 6’3” – 2024 Mission Viejo
The leading scorer on the Diablos roster continues to put up high-scoring games night after night. He is a nightmare on both ends with his lengthy build. Racking up steals with his quick hands or taking deep threes on the offensive end, he will do it all throughout the game. Another big attribute is his bounce which helps him sky for rebounds and blocks and have the occasional poster dunk. With one more year left before he graduates, colleges looking for a high flying, do it all scorer, this could be your guy.

If there were All-Defensive teams in the county, he would be the number one guy on the First Team. Leading the Sea View League in steals by more than one steal more per game than the next guy, he makes the opposing point guard feel like he’s in a torture chamber. I don’t want to forget to mention that he is also second on the team in points just shy of 16 points per game, while also leading the team in assists at just over 5. The quality thing about this senior who is graduating is he will do whatever is necessary for the team to win. Most of the time it’s with his full-court defense, sometimes with his ability to get to the basket at will, and sometimes it’s as a playmaker. He does it all and there is no reason he shouldn’t be on a roster next season.
