Here’s a look at what went down:
-Montezuma (16-6) advanced to the 1A District 9 final with a 72-61 victory at Moravia Saturday afternoon. The Braves moved on to meet No. 8 Baxter, 68-46 victors against Sigourney on Friday.

-Coon Rapids-Bayard (14-9) went on the road Saturday and took down Ankeny Christian, 59-54, in 1A District 14 play. In Tuesday’s final, the Crusaders will take on ACGC, 78-64, winners against IKM-Manning on Friday.
Freshman Cal Heydon Cal Heydon 6'4" | SF Coon Rapids-Bayard | 2026 State IA dropped 29 points for Coon Rapids-Bayard Saturday with senior Lance Clayburg scoring 14, grabbing 10 rebounds, swiping six steals and blocking two shots for the victors.
-Lenox (14-9) survived Saturday with a 73-62 triumph against visiting Stanton. The Tigers advanced to meet top-ranked Grandview Christian in Tuesday’s championship.
Sophomore Gabe Funk’s 18.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game have been tops for Lenox this season. Senior Keaton England has been averaging 15.4 points for the Tigers.
