Mill Creek enters play with the one-seed and will play the winner of Central Gwinnett and Mountain View. The Hawks are winners of six straight and eight of their last nine including beating Collins Hill 55-53 in overtime to clinch the top seed. [player_tooltip player_id='1350894' first='Trajen' last='Greco'] and Jonathon Taylor combined with [player_tooltip player_id='1595928' first='Nate' last='Eroh'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1773549' first='Stephen' last='Akwiwu'] gives Mill Creek a balanced inside-out game. Mountain View as the five-seed is a dark horse to watch for. The Bears opened the season 9-2 before sputtering to a 3-10 finish. Mike White can be a mismatch with his strength on the perimeter and when the Bears are hitting from the outside, [player_tooltip player_id='1464263' first='Bronson' last='Blair'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1464262' first='CJ' last='Johnson'] can light it up. Buford tied with Mill Creek at 8-2 in the region but settle for the two-seed. The Wolves are dangerous, having played a grueling non-region schedule. Brennan Wansley has developed into one of their top perimeter scorers while [player_tooltip player_id='1337715' first='David' last='Burnett'] is a sought-after D-II swingman and [player_tooltip player_id='1059568' first='Chase' last='James-Robinson'] can fill it up from deep. [player_tooltip player_id='1020694' first='Cameron' last='Kelly'] and [player_tooltip player_id='820320' first='London' last='Williams'] give Coach Benjie Wood punishing size that rebounds and protects the rim while also being able to provide offense in the paint. Collins Hill isn't a team to sleep on even though they enter play on a three-game losing streak, causing them to fall to the three-seed. Kai McArthur is a tenacious defender while [player_tooltip player_id='820290' first='Keishawn' last='Hampton'] (Emory & Henry) is a smooth scorer. Central Gwinnett only has 7 wins, but they are 2-2 over their last four games with wins over Collins Hills (59-55) and Mountain View (69-68) to sneak up to the four-seed. [player_tooltip player_id='1742122' first='Timothy' last='Smith'] (11.1 ppg), [player_tooltip player_id='1696173' first='Malik' last='Rideout'] (10 ppg) and Jacy Mils (9 ppg) lead the Black Knights. The six-seed is Dacula, who underwent a midseason coaching change. [player_tooltip player_id='1231778' first='Jackson' last='Sousa'] (14.5 ppg) is a dangerous shooter while young guards [player_tooltip player_id='2295938' first='Jaden' last='Mattison'] (12 ppg) and Keith Banks (10.1 ppg) hold promise for the future.
