There have been elite players from all over the country that have been named Player of the Week and / or finalists. This week again features an impressive list of athletes, including 2 players from Michigan, Gaden Muxlow Gaden Muxlow 6'4" | CG Brown City | 2023 State MI and Tyler Jamison Tyler Jamison 6'4" | SF Port Huron Northern | 2023 State MI .
I recently wrote about Muxlow and said that he “is going to be a steal for Rochester University. Mark my words.”. Hey Gaden, I appreciate you buddy because you’re making me look way smarter than I really am. It’s easy to see if you really watch him play. Coach John Strong told me years ago that this young man was a college player and I’ve learned to put a lot of merit in what he says. This is an example of why. Muxlow had a college ready frame years ago, and his skill set has followed suit. He can shoot from behind the arc like a sniper behind the arc and is also strong enough to compete under the rim and bulldog his way to the bucket. Muxlow’s last 3 games included a 37 point outburst, a 28 point performance and a school record 45 point game.
Highlights
Jamison fairly recently committed to Farleigh Dickinson University. Man does he have people in Teaneck, New Jersey excited. We’ve known for years now that Jamison was an elite scorer, but he’s really shown tremendous growth in all aspects of his game. In fact, I’d venture to say that Jamison is one of the best rebounding guards in the state and possibly beyond. From everything that I hear, he’s developed into a terrific leader as well. The type of teammate that people want to play with. Jamison had a huge week on the court. On January 24, he had a 31 point and 10 rebound double-double. He followed that up with a 23 point and 15 rebound double-double. Jamison has his team playing some very good basketball right now.
