ND Class B: Week 11 Power Rankings

We are another week deeper into the season and we have three undefeated teams left! Two of those teams, Central Cass and Sargent County are both from Region 1. Those two meet up on February 24th and it is highly likely that they will both still be undefeated. We have some big matchups this past week and we had a fair amount of movement in our rankings. With that being said, let’s check out the rankings!

#1 Four Winds-Minnewaukan (16-0)

Info: The Indians remain undefeated and they picked up a high-quality win on Saturday over Thompson. Info: It was a massive week for the Squirrels. Earlier in the week CC took down their rivals to the south and the reigning Region 1 Champions with Kindred. On Saturday, they dominated the Cardinals from Ellendale with a blowout win. Info: The Skyhawks had a busy week and they won three more games. On Valentine’s day, Shiloh has an intriguing matchup with De Lacs-Burlington. There will be plenty of talent on the court in that Region 5 vs. Region 6 matchup.

#6 Bowman County (15-2)

Recent Games: WIN 74-54 vs. Flasher, WIN 70-55 vs. #7 Beulah

Next Game: Feb 14 vs. Hettinger-Scranton

Info: The Bulldogs had a huge week and they two home two nice wins. The Beulah win was high-quality as the Miners have been looking really good this season. This win is extra-sweet at Bowman and Beulah are region foes. Three players to watch out for on the Bowman roster are Bohden Duffield Bohden Duffield 6'1" | SG Bowman County | 2024 State ND , Bishop Duffield Bishop Duffield 6'1" | SG Bowman County | 2024 State ND , and Aidan Thompson.

#7 Beulah (14-2)

Recent Games: WIN 56-32 at Our Redeemer’s, WIN 71-70 (OT) at Dickinson Trinity, LOST 70-55 at #9 Bowman County

Next Game: Feb 14 vs. Grant County-Mott-Regent

Info: The Miners went 2-1 this past week. They had a dramatic Region 7 OT win over arch-rivals, the Trinity Titans. That one must have been an emotional victory. Unfortunately, the Miners could not keep that momentum and they laid an egg against the Bulldogs from Bowman County. I would not be surprised if these two teams see each other again in the playoffs.

#8 Thompson (12-5)

Recent Games: LOST 72-68 at May-Port CG, WIN 75-48 vs. Midway-Minto, LOST 61-56 vs. #1 Four Winds-Minnewaukan

Next Game: Feb 14 at Sacred Heart (MN)

Info: The Tommies took two L’s but those were two tough teams. May-Port CG is an emerging team and Four Winds is #1 in Class B. The Tommies showed that they can compete and play with the Indians. They lost, but they proved that they can play with the best. Info: The Cougars continued their winning ways this past week and they collected two more wins. #10 Ellendale (16-1)

Recent Games: WIN 69-51 at Linton-HMB, LOST 69-32 at #2 Central Cass

Next Game: Feb 14 at Kidder County

Info: The Cardinals picked up a nice Region 3 win earlier in the week over Linton. On Saturday, Ellendale traveled to Casselton and they lost by 37 points. Leading scores in the CC game: Anton Geller Anton Geller 6'1" | SF Ellendale | 2024 State ND 14 pts, and Riley Thorpe Riley Thorpe 6'1" | SG Ellendale | 2023 State ND 11 pts. The Cardinals are a better team than the score indicated against CC. Ellendale is a super fast team with some nice athletes.
