Here are the top standouts from the Marlboro-South Brunswick Central Jersey Group 4 semifinal.
Harmehar Chhabra Harmehar Chhabra 6'5" | PF South Brunswick | 2023 State NJ , 6’5 PF South Brunswick 2023
Chhabra had a monster game for the Vikings as he impacted the game at both ends of the floor. The 6’5 forward pushed the ball nicely in transition and made smart passes to his teammates. Chhabra showed off a nice touch in the mid-range and knocked down a jumper from behind the arc. He ripped down rebounds at both ends of the floor and moved his feet on the defensive end. Chhabra’s versatility is something that will help South Brunswick in the Central Jersey Group 4 final.
Alex Frank, G Marlboro 2023
Frank sparked the Mustangs’ offense as he led them with 19 points. The senior guard attacked the basket strong as he was able to get to the rim and finish around the basket. Frank moved well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and showed his versatility in the zone as he played multiple spots. Frank is a tough guard who did whatever he could to help his team win.
Kalani Antoine Kalani Antoine 5'8" | PG South Brunswick | 2023 State NJ , 5’9 PG South Brunswick 2023
Antoine had a big game for the Vikings as he poured in a game-high 23 points. The 5’9 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and set his feet before he shot. Antoine was able to get by his defender off the bounce and finished through contact around the basket. He was able to create turnovers on the defensive end and ran the offense effectively. Antoine’s ability to put up points in bunches is something that has been key for South Brunswick all season long.
AJ Schwartz, G Marlboro 2023
Schwartz did a little bit of everything for the Mustangs as he made key plays for them throughout the game. The senior guard ran the offense well throughout the game as he was able to find open teammates and rarely got rattled by on-ball pressure. Schwartz knocked down a pair of jumpers from behind the arc, showing his touch on his shot and was unafraid of drawing contact. He worked hard on the defensive end and played well without the ball in his hands. Schwartz is a gritty guard who had a tremendous senior season for Marlboro.
Arshvir Singh, G South Brunswick 2023
Singh had a solid game for the Vikings as he finished with 15 points. He moved well without the ball in his hands as he helped South Brunswick beat the press and freed himself for open shots in the half court. Singh showed off a good release on his jumper and was not afraid of drawing contact in the paint. He slid his feet on defense and was unselfish with the ball in his hands. Singh has had a strong senior campaign for South Brunswick and is looking to continue it in the Central Jersey Group 4 final.
