Dominic Sanders
Dominic Sanders
If you don’t know the name Dominic Sanders, you should. The 6-0 senior guard dropped a cool 36 in the biggest game of the season so far, and was composed through all 32 minutes. Sanders is a true three level scorer, being able to knockdown jumpers at a high clip, and seamlessly elevating on his way to the basket when he decides to attack. With a quick and elusive handle, Even with the ability to score at will, Sanders is unselfish when it comes to getting his teammates involved.
Emmanuel Rislin
Emmanuel Rislin
If it wasn’t for his teammates offensive explosion, Rislin would have easily been my player of the game. The senior forward impacts the game in a variety of ways. with or without the ball in his hands. On the offensive end, Rislin plays with a soft touch around the basket, positioning himself well to scoop up misses and finish with easy. At 6-8, Rislin is a very underrated player, especially working from the high post where he plays with great vision to get his guys easy buckets. Defensively, there wasn’t much Evans could do to score over him, using that frame to perfection to swat shots or deflect passes.
Even down double-digits for a majority of the second half, Charles never stopped giving 100%. There was a span that the senior guard almost ignited a comeback after back-to-back offensive rebounds hustle plays leading to points. Charles is as extremely quick with the ball in his hands and rifles passes that seem to sizzle through the air.
Stitcher Timo
Stitcher Timo
One of two reasons that Evans was having difficulties scoring inside all night, the combination of Timo and Rislin was a nightmare for the Trojan offense. Timo is always playing vertically when somebody attacks the rack and is always finding somebody to box out when a shot goes up. Offensively, the 6-6 senior is always ready for put-backs and never shies away from contact from five feet out.
