Davis Obiora
Davis Obiora
Obiora is an athletic wing that exhibits college ready athleticism and strength. He did a great job vs Clay County getting to the paint and scoring tough baskets thru contact. He got out in passing lanes which led to transition baskets and allowed him to showcase his ability to finish above the rim. With his quickness, he was able to get to his spots and get any shot he wants. Struggles a bit with his consistency shooting, but was effective by just getting to the rim. Has the tools to be an elite defender.
Landon Dezarn
Landon Dezarn
Dezarn was a steady force all game vs Oneida Baptist. He plays with an extremely high IQ & has good vision passing the ball which allows him to be valuable both in the half court and in transition. He knocked down jumpers both from 3pt and in the mid-range. His ability to shoot gave his teammates a ton of space to operate as you can’t leave him. Was really impressed with his mid-range pull-up he made,as it looked natural to him. Landon plays way beyond his age.
Aiden Wagers
Aiden Wagers
Wagers is a new name to add to the Freshman class as he is getting a ton of experience for Clay County. He is a physical defender guarding the post and did a good job guarding around the basket. He stepped out and made a 3, but I was most impressed with his ability to but the ball on the floor and drive in the mid-range. At his age, you don’t find the versatility he has that often. The sky can be the limit with him if he continues to develop.
Jake Dewboys
Jake Dewboys
Dewboys played with an extremely high motor and impacted the game in a variety of ways for Fairdale vs Beth Haven. He is a physical big man that is capable playing all over the floor. Was at his best operating in the mid-range and around the basket. Had an impressive play where he faced up in the mid-post and drove a slower defender. He has capable 3pt range off the catch. Plays with very good IQ as he knows his limits offensively and looked to get players involved and didn’t take bad shots. Was very effective in the middle offensively when Beth Haven played zone. New prospect in the 2024 class to keep an eye on.
Jordan Harris
Jordan Harris
Harris was solid vs Fairdale. He struggled a bit scoring the ball but you could tell he has a great feel for the game with a high IQ. Proved he can play both on the ball and off. Didn’t see him shoot from 3pt range, but did a good job getting to the paint to shoot at the rim. Has good touch, just shots weren’t falling for him. Has good size for his position which allows him to score in a variety of ways and also defend multiple positions.
