Here were some of the younger standouts
Freshman
Jackson Schorr Jackson Schorr 5'11" | SG Canyon View | 2026 AZ Canyon View
A shooting guard with a pure stroke. He has killer range on his three point shot with beautiful ball rotation and gets a high release. He gives a hard ball fake and will drive by or facilitate. He was in the right spots on defense to collect steals.
Christian Molina Christian Molina 5'11" | SG Canyon View | 2026 State AZ SG 6’0 2026 Canyon View
A scoring guard in an active player. He has a good burst and will score it with either hand. He has good on-ball and help side defense and will collect steals and block shots plus has a good motor to defend and rebound.
JV
Jason Shelton Jason Shelton 6'0" | PG Canyon View | 2026 State AZ Canyon View
A long and lean point guard is a smart player. He knows how to change speeds well and can blow by and use the floater to his advantage. He has a nice compact shooting stroke from the three point line. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and has a euro game. He can also whip the ball up the court and make plays.
Devin Sanders Devin Sanders 5'9" | PG Canyon View | 2026 State AZ Canyon View
A pure point guard with a smooth handle who moves the ball quickly. He has good open court speed and is pure facilitator. He is consistently trying to dime his teammates and is a natural downhill player. He has a beautiful euro game and can shoot it off the catch from the three point line.
Noah Oliver Noah Oliver 6'3" | SG Canyon View | 2025 State AZ Canyon View (Pictured)
A thicker scoring guard can shoot it from mid-range and float it in. He grew maybe three inches since my last viewing and has nice body control in the paint to score around or thru contact. He anticipates the passing lanes to collect steals for layups and plays physically. He was at Centennial last year and is not eligible to play varsity but he will definitely play next year. He will give them quality depth.
Heath Engles PF 6’3 2025 Canyon View
A live bodied four man has as a nice touch and brings some physicality. He will rebound and block shots around the basket. He has long arms and is a quick second and third jumper. He can shoot it from elbow and in and he plays with a high IQ.
Quincey Sims Quincey Sims 6'3" | PG Verrado | 2026 State AZ Verrado
A pure point guard has nice court vision and a thicker build. He is an up the court passer and can thread a needle. He can shoot the ball off the catch or dribble and plays a little on varsity. The staff thinks highly of what he can become down the road. He plays football too giving him that natural toughness.
