Iturbe recently returned from an injury for the Warriors. Julen really likes to have the ball in his hands at times and shows to have a very solid skill set. He can play-inside out on the floor and shows no problems knocking down perimeter jumpers along the way. Julen likes to play face-up and at times was the trail man in transition. He has a great set of hands to catch anything thrown in his direction.
Highlights
Ray at the 7:23 mark of the first quarter joined the 1,000-point club as an Eagle. Justin the night before scorched Woodmont HS for 42 points. He plays the game with so much confidence and smoothness at times on the floor. Justin has the ability to pop off screens and elevate on his jump shot from downtown. He has the ability to run off points in a hurry without forcing his shot. Justin always seems to play his game under control at all times.
Highlights
Braden and the Mavericks suffered a loss in the opener today vs Eastside HS. Hershberger really plays the game to the fullest with some savvy on the side. He NEVER looks to take a play off and always seems to be in attack mode. Braden is a deceptive athlete that will look to stalk the baseline at times. Hershberger is averaging 14.7 ppg this season for the Mavericks.
Roberts and the Eagles came out on top today in the opener. Matthew scored most of his points on the way to the basket today. He was able to finish on contact to the basket and get to the foul line today. Roberts was able to score 14 points today just under his scoring average of 15.2 ppg this season. Matthew does a nice job of complimenting Justin Ray Justin Ray 6’3″ | SG Eastside | 2024 State #317 Nation SC in this Eagles backcourt.
Highlights
Sprouse is a new name for the database here at Prep Hoops. Landon has a sweet stoke from behind the arc. He has had good range on his shot from deep and always seemed to be in position to get a good look at the basket. Sprouse finished with 16 points in the Bulldogs win over Riverside HS today. Landon could be a future stock-riser down the road with new rankings update later this month.
Bruton is a tough-nosed kid who really brings the effort at all times. Ramani finished with 17 points today in the Red Raiders victory over Southside HS. He has the ability to score the ball from all 3 levels which he showed today. Bruton uses his body very nicely to fend off defenders to the basket.
