Cale Maxey Cale Maxey 6'3" | SG Trenton Catholic | 2023 State NJ , 6’4 W Trenton Catholic 2023
Maxey had a fantastic game for the Iron Mikes as he did a little bit of everything for him. The 6’4 wing played great interior defense as he held his ground and made it tough for the Irish to score. Maxey ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor and went after loose balls throughout the game. He used his handle to get by his defender off the bounce and played with poise down the stretch. Maxey is a gritty wing prospect who plays with great energy at both ends of the floor, which should help his stock in a big way in 2023.
Isaiah Gore Isaiah Gore 6'2" | PG Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy | 2026 State NJ , 6’1 PG Trenton Catholic 2026
Gore led the way for the Iron Mikes with 17 points as he showed his ability to score the ball in multiple ways. Mathelier poured in a game-high 20 points for the Irish as he was their go-to player on offense. The Army commit was able to draw contact around the basket and was able to finish in the paint. Mathelier made good passes in the half court as he was able to find his open teammates cutting to the basket. He was tough to box out on both ends of the floor and used his size to influence shots down low. Mathelier’s ability to finish around the basket is something Notre Dame will need for the Irish to make a deep run in the postseason.
