The field had teams such as Peoria Liberty, Gilbert Basha, Scottsdale Desert Mountain, and others. This event was filled with buzzer beaters and had many games decided by single digits. The semifinal saw Basha squeak one out against Desert Mountain on a last second put back. In the other semifinal Gilbert Highland pulled away in the 2nd half against Mountain Pointe.
In the final, Basha jumped out early lead by Mason Magee Mason Magee 6'0" | PG Basha | 2026 State AZ , Christian Warren Christian Warren 6'4" | SF Basha | 2024 State AZ , and Torin Bosch Torin Bosch 6'4" | SF Basha | 2023 State AZ . Highland made some runs throughout the 2nd half but every time the Bears had an answer for them. Basha Bears were your 2022 McClintock Holiday Shootout Champions.
In this tournament there were plenty of talented players.

The freshman didn’t play like one this week. He was jet quick and got by his man more times than not. He understands the game at a high level. Magee also showed off some bounce and improved confidence in his jump shot. A top 5 kid in Arizona’s 2026 class.
Christian Warren Christian Warren 6'4" | SF Basha | 2024 State AZ Basha
The junior wing brought his toughness to the table and it was unmatched. His 3pt shot was falling which makes him even tougher to cover. When they put a smaller quicker defender on him he just went right through them and when guarded by a bigger player he just went around them
Noah Peterson Noah Peterson 6'3" | SG Highland | 2023 State AZ Highland
Peterson had stretches during this event that led you to believe that he was going to will his squad to the championship. His 3 ball was falling and he was getting to the rack often finishing with his patented spin move. His confidence went to another level this week.
Kaden House Kaden House 6'3" | CG Desert Mountain | 2026 State AZ Desert Mountain
Yes the athleticism is there but what puts him on another level is his elite feel for the game. He already understands how to use angles offensively as well defensively. The scary part is he’s just as good defensively as he is offensively. He was getting steals not just with effort but with instincts
Andrew Bhesania Andrew Bhesania 6'8" | PF Boulder Creek | 2025 State #348 Nation AZ Boulder Creek
The forward showed the growth in his game this week. He had some good games including a 27 point 21 rebound 5 block performance against Desert Mountain. He showed that he is more comfortable on the perimeter by hitting multiple threes and beating his man off the dribble
Aadem Isai Aadem Isai 6'1" | PG Valley Vista | 2023 State AZ Valley Vista
The senior guard showed why he is one of the best in the state. Despite being double teamed quite often he still made the correct reads and got himself or his teammates good looks. His use of the left hand makes him even more of difficult to defend as he was dropping dimes with either hand. Not many in the AIA who are as crafty as him.
