Today, we will begin by revealing our top prospects to watch in the senior class. Six teams from across the nation will be battling for some hardware at the end of the week.
The 6-8 forward is having a superb senior season for Montverde Academy, coming into the Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament averaging 8.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. The Duke University signee finished with 20 points, on 8-of-12 shooting from the field in their 97-51 win over Calvary Christian Academy in their last game back on January 23. Stewart is the top ranked prospect, according to our Prep Hoops Florida player rankings.
The 6-9 senior wing is having a stellar season for Montverde Academy as he comes into the tournament averaging 9.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. The University of Oregon signee scored a season-high 19 points back on January 14 at the Hoophall Classic in a 85-63 win over La Lumiere (Indiana). Evans is the No. 2 ranked prospect in the Class of 2023, according to our Prep Hoops Florida player rankings.
The 6-1 guard is having a stellar senior season for the Durango TrailBlazers. Riley can score in a variety of ways, whether he is attacking the basket or playing off the ball. Riley is signed to play at California Baptist University next season. Riley is the No. 3 ranked prospect in the state of Nevada, according to our latest Prep Hoops player rankings.
The 6-3 guard is a perimeter threat and is shooting at a 38 percent rate from beyond the arc this season for Owyhee. Bailey is averaging 12.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this season for the Storm.
The James Madison University signee is a walking double-double, averaging 14.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this season. Over the course of the season so far, Carey has learned to expand his range on the floor and has become a reliable threat in the mid-range. Carey has a current streak of five straight games recording a double-double.
