Riley led all scorers in Durango’s win over Westminster on Friday with 24 points, with 18 of those coming in the second half. The Cal Baptist commit fears nobody on his way to the rack, which is where a majority of his outpour came from. Riley’s strong midrange game also translated to his perfect 8 of 8 from the charity stripe.
Highlights
The James Madison commit is a force to be reckoned with at his 6-8 and 260lb stature. Carey rebounds the ball on both ends with a vengeance each and every time a shot goes up. And if the senior forward gets a hand on it, simply good luck, because Carey’s strong hands makes it impossible to strip free. When he’s not picking up nine boards, just as he did on Friday, Carey is backing down his defender and living in the paint.
The Duke commit flat out dominated in Montverde’s victory over Owyhee. His combination of size, strength and skill overmatched the Storm, and will surely be a first round pick in next year NBA draft. Stewart showed off just how lethal he can be from the mid-range, knocking down multiple 15-foot jumpers.
The future Oregon Duck proved how much potential he has as a prototypical stretch four in today’s game, knocking down jumpers and putting the ball on the deck on his way to the way. Despite his size and fluidity, Evans is not afraid to mix it up down low and muscle his way to the tin.
