This season Olympus was basically running with a new team as only Dutch and barnes are back and this past week Dutch has really been on his game. He is scoring a lot of points and helping his team win. This is what separates him from other players in his class that can score is the winning. Went off for 45 in a game and was on fire. He was not over dribbling he was just playing the right way. he was not throwing up crazy shots that went in he was playing within his system. This makes him a very valuable player at the next level.
Daishaun has figured some things out as he gets the ball on the block and he is drop step dunking. Had a few bodies this past weekend and was a force. He NEEDS more touches. His percentage when he touches the ball deep on the block is very high but he does not get enough of those looks. When he is on it really opens things up for his guards to get easy looks. This kid would be an ideal D3 kid that can step in right away and play.
This young bull was in his bag. The kid has strength and poise. Really scans the floor well looking for his teammates but also has the option to finesse his way to the rim. He finishes some tough buckets. He has a shot that goes in, especially in the corners. In time this kid is going to prove himself as he has really taken this Highland team as a PG and is steering them in the right direction.
John is getting bigger, stronger and faster. John is showing that he can stretch the floor off the ball when he is shooting and on the ball he is getting to the rim and creating. One aspect of his game that really needs to be talked about is the fact that he does work hard defending.
Highlights
Austin came off the bench a few times in Florida and made some really good plays and he was just as solid as you would like a backup PG to be. He got a start late in tournament play and he was in his bag as he made some of the best passes from any PG at any level. He was looking for his guys getting everyone involved. The ball was moving side to side and he was hitting those open looks when he needed to .
