Oak Park defeated Columbia Hickman in the championship game. Liberty defeated William Chrisman in the third-place game while Belton defeated Olathe Northwest in the fifth-place game. We had an opportunity to watch the final day of the tournament through the Magical Stream Machine.
Caleb Estes Caleb Estes 6'2" | SG Oak Park | 2025 State MO (Oak Park): The 6’2″ 2025 guard had a big performance in the championship game as he scored a game-high 23 points. He displayed his quickness, athleticism and ability to get buckets at all three levels. He was knocking down 3-pointers and hitting short jumpers off the dribble. He also was quick to the offensive boards to get put backs.
Corbin Allen Corbin Allen 6'5" | SG Oak Park | 2025 State #169 Nation MO (Oak Park): The 6’4″ 2025 guard scored 12 points in the championship game victory over HIckman. He is a matchup problem with his size and ability to excel anywhere on the court. He was going inside and posting up smaller guards and getting offensive rebounds for putbacks. He could also handle the ball and facilitate offense while operating well in the high post.
Brock Camp Brock Camp 6'6" | PF HIckman | 2025 State MO (Hickman): The 6’6″ 2025 forward is a versatile big who is rock solid at 235 pounds with a versatile skill set. He knows how to carve out his space in the low post for buckets and offensive rebounds. He was controlling the defensive backboards for much of the first half. His handles were also good as he scored on an excellent spin move in the lane through traffic.
Kale Mortimer Kale Mortimer 5'11" | PG Liberty | 2025 MO (Liberty): A 5’10” 2025 guard who scored a team-high 16 points in the Bluejays victory over William Chrisman. He has good fundamentals and nice feel for the game. He displayed deep shooting range that extended well beyond the 3-point line. I also enjoyed how he was feeding the low post, which is sometimes a lost art.
Leo Gayman Leo Gayman 6'6" | PF William Chrisman | 2025 State MO (William Chrisman): A 6’5″ 2025 forward who plays a solid, fundamental game around the basket. He has a strong body and he uses it well inside on his post-ups and to get rebounding position. He was very patient when making his moves in the post and he displayed a nice shooting touch.
Aedin Fields Aedin Fields 6'1" | SG Oak Park | 2025 State MO (Oak Park): A 6’1″ 2025 guard who scored 11 points in the championship game against Hickman. He is rock solid and he has some good slashing moves to the basket. He also could hit the Corner 3. He was very effective when he was attacking the basket.
Rasaun Nichols (Hickman): A 6’2″ 2025 guard who plays a very smooth game. He does a good job of letting the game come to him as he doesn’t try to force things. When he sees his opportunities, he is quick to take advantage of them with a slashing drive to the basket or a knock down 3-pointer. He also has the length and athleticism to be a solid defender.
Cooper Shurm (Belton): A 6’3″ 2026 wing player who is known for his prowess as a top young baseball prospect, but he is also pretty good on the basketball court as well. He has good length and athleticism and he did a good job of hitting open 3-pointers.
Anthrone Hatch (KIPP Legacy): A 6’0″ 2025 combo guard who displayed some impressive scoring chops in the game that I watched him. He has good quickness and the ability to break down defenders to slash into the lane. When he was cut off by a defender, he could stop and pop from the mid-range jumper with good elevation.
