Corner Canyon takes the reigns of Region 4
It’s no secret but the best two teams in 6A are currently Corner Canyon and American Fork and they went toe to toe. One of the standouts in the game was surging in stock PG Jaxson Roberts Jaxson Roberts 6'2" | PG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT . All game he was a handful and it was due to him getting low and just keeping it simple with his driving. AF could not leave Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT or Toombs so their help was not there in time. Jaxson was the player of the game for sure although Toombs made some smart plays and Kozlowski was all over the boards and even pinned a player going to the rim. American Fork will bounce back and they got great play from Ashton Wallace Ashton Wallace 6'4" | CG American Fork | 2023 State UT and Blake Rawson Blake Rawson 6'8" | PF American Fork | 2024 State UT . Wallace is dangerous in the corners for sure.
It was just a matter of time when you heard this kids name pop up when region play got underway. Logan was able to lead his team to a solid win @ Bingham which rarely happens. He put 27 and his bigger frame at the guard position was really tough on some of the smaller Bingham guards. He finds ways to get a bucket. Good positional size that should be getting looks from small schools and D3’s. Could be a nightmare to guard for every team in region play.

Jaxson has been lighting it up for a bit but he is starting ot get the love he deserves as he has come up big and his team is finishing him. He was on fire and hitting some crazy tough shots to get Lone Peak a tough win in Region play. It has to be said but Jaxson is one of the best shooters in the state. That is saying something because there is a lot. If he gets going he is money. Small school type of game likely but he does have game.
Just in time as Justus had himself a timely game. He not only tallied 20 points but he hauled in 14 rebounds. This comes just in time as they will need him to make a legit run at state. Justus could also help his stock as he is playing well and he is looking more like his self after a few months trying ot recover. He is a sleeper walk on type of LM Division 1 hooper. Shoots the ball well and when his motor is one he is trouble because he is athletic and has length.
