(2023) |5’11 G| North Prairie
He has a great touch and feel for the game. Leas scored with baseline slashes, short jumpers, and soft floaters. He showed off his ball skills with a behind-the-back bounce pass in transition. Mitchell is sneaky quick and his fall-away jumper is very effective. Leas has great handles, he created TO’s, and he had no trouble going past defenders.
Jeffry Rosinski Jeffry Rosinski 6'4" | SF North Prairie | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’4 F| North Prairie
He finished with 18 points and two triples. Rosinski did most of his damage in the second half. He scored in transition, hit from deep, and grabbed offensive rebounds.
Blake Mattson Blake Mattson 6'2" | SF North Prairie | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’2 SF| North Prairie
16 points and he was super efficient. Blake started the game with an O-board putback and shortly after he tipped in another O-rebound. Mattson had no trouble slashing and scoring against the zone. He is a long athlete, is aggressive, and is an efficient finisher. I really like how he moved without the ball. Mattson was explosive to the rim and everything seemed to be going in the hole.
Nate Tastad Nate Tastad 6'5" | PF North Prairie | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’5 PF| North Prairie
He is a BIG kid with impressive size. I like the way that Nate runs the floor and he has good feet. Tastad rebounded well and he set physical screens. He was great from the FT-line and he shoots it with a high release. Tastad will be a vital player this season for North Prairie.
Montgomery Grant (2023) |5’10 G| North Prairie
He looked good running the court and scoring in transition. Grant finished with a smooth finger roll finish over the front of the rim. Montgomery is an opportunistic scorer, he finished the game with 12 points.
Carter Smith (2023) |5’10 G| Trenton
I liked his skill and his jump shot. Smith ran the show for Trenton and he controlled the tempo. Carter scored with a very nice teardrop. He scored in transition as well, I like how Smith plays under control. Carter is a nice backcourt player. He finished the game with 14 points.
Nate Norby (2023) |6’4 F| Trenton
We saw his potential in the first half and Norby really got going n the 2nd half. He shot several FT’s because Nate was in attack mode in the second half. He has super long arms. Norby scored from deep, 15 feet, and at the rim. He certainly has potential. Nate scored 16 points.
Preston Kraft Preston Kraft 6'0" | SG Velva | 2023 State ND (2023) |6’0 G| Velva
He was smoking hot. The lefty put in 7 triples for 21 points. Preston showed off his range with a couple of 3-balls coming from WAY deep. Kraft is a zone-buster, but Trenton stayed in it, so Preston just kept on knocking them down. Opposing teams should not leave him open.
Reggie Bruner Reggie Bruner 6'0" | SG Velva | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’0 G| Velva
14 points. Bruner hit a 3-pointer, scored from the line, hit a floater, and scored a bunch of buckets in transition. Bruner plays hard, fast, and aggressively. He forced multiple turnovers because of his quick hands. Bruner is the real deal on the hardwood.
Kyle Sandy (2023) |6’3 F| Velva
Much like the day before, Sandy was a monster on the O-glass. He is great at reacting to the ball off the rim, and he times it perfectly. Sandy looked like a man amongst boys when rebounding. He scored many points off O-board putbacks. It seems like teams can not box out Sandy.
Hank Bodine (2025) |6’0 F| Velva
He was really good at flashing into the zone for open catches. Hank scored with a sweet floater from mid-lane. He scored multiple points in the paint and Bodine also hit a triple. Hank created turnovers and he scored in transition.
Ty Hughes Ty Hughes 5'11" | SG Des Lacs Burlington | 2024 ND (2024) |6’0 G| Des Lacs-Burlington
He is super fast going up the court. Hughes is an athletic slasher and is dangerous when he gets downhill. I thought Hughes moved his feet well and played solid on-ball defense.

14 points, 12 of them in the first half. Yale had a BIG dunk in the second half. He looked good catching at the FT-line, facing up, and attacking off the bounce. Yale showed off his post moves with a turnaround baby hook. He blocked shots and grabbed big rebounds. Yale showed good court awareness with a couple of very nice passes. He is a difference-maker, that is for sure.
Braylon Fisher (2024) |6’1 G| Des Lacs-Burlington
Like the other Lakers, Fished showed impressive hustle. Fisher scored multiple baskets in transition. He can also catch in the paint and score quickly. Fisher looks to be a quality role player for the Lakers.
Rylan Olson Rylan Olson 6'5" | SG Des Lacs Burlington | 2023 State ND (2023) |6’3 G| Des Lacs-Burlington
Double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. He is a long and athletic lefty. Olson scored with an AND1 and he cashed the FT for a 3pt play. He hit a big 3-ball in the 4th quarter. Rylan blocked shots and he threw beautiful 1-handed passes.
Paxton Ystaas Paxton Ystaas 5'11" | PG Des Lacs Burlington | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’0 G| Des Lacs-Burlington
I like his energy and effort. Paxton made hustle plays all game long. He knocked down some huge FT’s late to help ice the game.

Like always, Jake’s jumper looked great. He showed off his shooting touch when getting a friendly roll on a deep 2. He hit a 3-pointer in the 4th quarter. Jake forced multiple turnovers and he took a charge. Shobe scored multiple times in transition and facilitated on offense. I really like his game.
Jace Kovash (2024) |6’1 F| Dickinson Trinity
He made some nice plays. He stole the ball and scored in transition. Kovash scored numerous times in transition. He grabbed an O-board and was also making aggressive plays. Kovash also 2-pointer that actually looked like a 3, but he must have been on the line. His 3-pointer came in the 2nd half. Jace is a nice compliment to

I am always impressed with his length, body control, and footwork. Peterson has multiple effective moves with his back to the basket, he can also square up and attack off the bounce. He is an active rebounder on both ends of the court. Karter was impressive with his effort, he was diving all over the floor for loose balls. Karter has a high ceiling.
Drew Overby Drew Overby 6'1" | CG Thompson | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’1 G| Thompson
He cashed in 6 triples! Drew was lights out. He looked automatic against the Lions. Drew is a game-changer from beyond the arc.
Jake Starcevic

Kindred | 2025

(2025) |6’2 G/F| Thompson
He was a playmaker for the Tommies. Late in the game when the score was tied, Jake tipped the ball from behind when a Lion was dribbling, the ball popped out, a Tommie grabbed it, threw it to Starcevic, and he finished at the rim before the buzzer sounded. Talk about a clutch play! Earlier in the game, Jake showed off his athleticism with a reverse layup and a slam dunk before the halftime buzzer sounded. Jake is a tough athlete as he can post, cut, and slash.
Jett Lundeen Jett Lundeen 6'1" | SG Bishop Ryan | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’0 G| Bishop Ryan
The Youngster can shoot it! Jett hit a big 3-pointer before halftime. He also got inside and mixed it up with the Tommies. He scored with an O-board putback and I thought his jump shot was intriguing.
Ian Johnson

His 3-point shot looked really good at the Hoopster Classic. Ian drilled multiple triples and I loved how he stepped into the pass and shot it with confidence. Johnson looked fluid and smooth. He is also effective in transition. Ian ran the floor like he was a lion chasing its prey. I really like his length and versatility.
Brady Feller

There is no question that this kid can score! Feller has deep range but he looked his best when attacking downhill. I thought his hesitation move looked great and I loved his physical finish at the cup. He also showed a sweet spin move, he finished that possession with an easy scoop shot. It looks like Brady can get his pull-up jumper off anytime that he wants.
Ramsey Walz

(2025) |6’6 PF| Bishop Ryan
His wing span is very long, and Ramsey is very mobile for his size. I like his confidence and his jump shot. He is tough around the hoop and is an effective slasher when on the perimeter. Walz did work on the offensive glass. I think he has a ton of potential as a 3-level scorer and as a versatile defender.
Carson Haerer

(2024) |6’0 G| Bottineau
He poured in 28 last night. I was really impressed with the tempo that Carson played with. He was in “attack mode” all game. At times, Haerer was being chased but he still produced. Carson drew a ton of contact that sent him to the line often. He is great a changing speeds and at keeping the defense off balance. He is a slippery slasher and is elusive going to the basket. Carson scored many points in transition as he is very fast down the court. He picked off passes, led the break, and finished with a sweet finger roll. He scored with an extra effort O-board putback and he took a charge from a BIG Lion. Carson also showed off his pure jump shot. He cashed in multiple triples and one of them was a super tough shot from the corner with a hand in his face. Carson even had to fade away just to get the shot off and it was nothing but net. He showed a deadly fake crossover and Carson was in a bit of foul trouble, so he had to sit longer than normal. Haerer is one of the best guards in Class B. I definitely need to see him play again.
Ryder Pollman (2023) |6’2 G| Bottineau
He finished with 12 points. Pollman is long, mobile, and athletic. He jumps well and he shoots his jump shot with a high release. Ryder looks to be a good player with plenty of potential. Pollman could be a very nice compliment to Haerer.
Jace Jochim

It was not his best night of shooting but Jochim still did some nice things. Even when his shot did not fall, it was still evident that Jace has a smooth stroke. He showed off his athleticism with a huge blocked shot to erase an attempt. Jace swatted the ball like a fly He elevated quickly and timed the block perfectly. Later in the game, Jochim blocked another shot with his long arms. I have heard that he is a WR in football, but last night he threw a beautiful pass in transition that made him look like a precision passing QB. I was impressed with his feel for the game and his baseline fadeaway jumper. It is just a matter of time until Jochim explodes and puts up big points.
Gentry Richter Gentry Richter 6'2" | SG Linton/HMB | 2025 State ND (2024) |6’0 F| Linton-HMB
19 points. He was a spark off the bench that produced well in both halves. Riley scored from every level. He put in O-board baskets, hit 15-foot jumpers, and cashed in multiple triples. Richter is a versatile offensive scoring threat.
Trace King Trace King 5'11" | SG Linton/HMB | 2023 State ND (2023) |6’0 G| Linton-HMB
He seems to know his way around the basketball court, it was easy to see that Trace has sharp basketball instincts. He looks good in transition, and King gets up and down the court in a hurry. Trace held his box outs, created TO’s with deflections, and he scored in breakaway situations.
Grant Bosch (2023) |6’3 F| Linton-HMB
20 points and many many rebounds, especially on the offensive end. Grant is a grinder, a hustler, and a hard worker. He was a beast on the offensive glass, just like his brother. Grant helped brake the press, he had unselfish kick-outs, and he threaded the needle with an awe-inspiring 1-handed bounce pass. The way Grant and Landon dominated in the paint, they should think about changing their name from the Bosch brothers to “The Bash Brothers”!
Landon Bosch (2023) |6’4 F| Linton-HMB
14 points and a boatload of rebounds. Bosch was super productive on the offensive glass and he scored many points with putbacks. Landon took two charges! He scored in transition, after contact, and with his left hand after a spin move. Landon and his brother Grant were the difference in this game with their rebounding and physical play around the rim.
